  Storing Data

When using LegOS (a most excellent creation, btw) is it possible to store a value and use it in different programs? Actually, I'm sure it is, but how would someone do it? I want to have one program to configure my light sensor, and use those values (...) (24 years ago, 20-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

(...) Argh! <rant> It's been a long time since domestic lightbulbs were even partially evacuated - these days they are filled with some kind of relatively inert gas.   Re: Home-made One-way valve

(...) I think the reason for that is simply that you can't store very much "vacuum" in a tank. While you can pressurize a tank to several hundred PSI or better, for vacuum you're limited to completely (well, OK, nearly completely) evacuating it--a (...)   Re: Home-made One-way valve

(...) Somehow I'm a bit queasy about this business of "storing vacuum" in a tank. So I checked with the local supplier of industrial gases. If you need a tank of compressed air, that's no problem. But a tankful of vacuum, er that's not listed in the (...) (24 years ago, 20-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, lugnet.build)

  Re: Contests?

I'm working on a new web site which I hope to launch over the holidays, but I've got a couple of January events listed on the calendar already.   Contests?

Hi. Are there any robot contests other than the Trinity College Fire Fighting Robot Constest being held in 2002? Best Wishes Barbara Nostrand (24 years ago, 19-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Proximity sensors.

Hi all. I want play with my RCX this Christmas so I have thought about building a proximity sensor. So guys, do you have any ideas?. I prefer simple and cheap solutions. Bye. (24 years ago, 19-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)
