Review of 5921 Research Glider for the Lost World

I discovered this set in Toys R Us last month and was pleased to see the new themes had again began ot appear before the official release date. I paid $9 CAN for it (around $6.20 USA). There is a lot of things I like about this set. First, you build (...) (24 years ago, 4-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Review of Dan Siskind's Mk1 Light Tank kit

I purchased and built one of Dan Siskind's Mk1 Light Tank kits and decided to post a review of my experience for the benefit of others who might be interested in purchasing one of them. As a preamble, I am very pleased that there are folks in the (...) (24 years ago, 4-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

My review of the 4561 Railway Express

#4561 Railway Express Ages 8-12 645 Pcs USA: $139.00 I got this set as my big gift for Christmas 1999. I originally planned on getting the more sophisticated freight train, but when I learned of this mid-year release, I decided that it was the (...) (24 years ago, 2-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: My review of the 6564 Recycle Truck

(...) Cool. Don't you wish you still had it now? I had a lot of early-mid 90s stuff (no 80s though), but I dismantled my entire collection in early 1998 and had to start from scratch again in late 1999 when I got interested in Lego again! I don't (...) (24 years ago, 2-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: My review of the 6564 Recycle Truck

(...) Do you have to tempt me with pictures of really old sets that I will never own? Yes, Lego really has gone downhill in the past 13 years! I like the use of a Space seat to pick up garbage. (24 years ago, 2-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: My review of the 6564 Recycle Truck

(...) I have 6693. I was 2, and hardly remember it, just the box, and me playing with it (my older brother helped me build it). That was my first set. Probabally comparing it with that new one, the 6693 is much better. All the new one is good for is (...) (24 years ago, 2-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: My review of the 6564 Recycle Truck

(...) And how about (<set:6693>) It was way superior to this thing (6564) and it came out back in 1987! Long before juniorization... Robin W. GFLTC (24 years ago, 2-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: My review of the 6564 Recycle Truck

(...) Wow, nice truck. I wish I had one of those. I was actually aiming for a non-vehicle alternate as a challenge, and although I remember one being on the back of the box, I really can't make a nice, non-vehicle with this set. (24 years ago, 2-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: My review of the 6564 Recycle Truck

(...) You could "borrow" ideas from it's predecessor's (<set:6668>) instructions. Alan (24 years ago, 2-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

My review of the 6564 Recycle Truck

#6564 Recycle Truck 34 pcs. CAN: $10.25 USA: $7.25 I received this set for Christmas 1999 wrapped with the 6422 Telephone Repair. I find the Recycle Truck to be a useful addition to my Town vehicle fleet. The stuff I liked was the cool garbage can (...) (24 years ago, 2-Jul-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  Roboriders-Lava, Frost, and Swamp

The Roboriders are an updated version of the Throwbots without the useless disk arm. The way they are set apart for the throwbots is their 'disks' are random, and they are all on wheels. They also manage to introduce two new colors in the process: (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jun-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: UCS X-Wing Review

I had to redo the gearing in the aft compartment more than a few times i feel that model in general is to heavy for the stands and the wings have difficulty staying connected other than that is is a grat model steve (...) the (...) and (...) small (...)   Re: UCS X-Wing Review

This set sounds just about perfect. Oh the wonder if I could only own one. But, alas, I need a car, and have no job as of yet. So I must wait (not many 16 year olds find that kind of money in their couch). Unless some generous soul would like to (...) (24 years ago, 24-Jun-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

  UCS X-Wing Review

O mighty X-Wing! Prince of Lego sets!...I have just been reveling in one of the greatest building privileges and experiences of my life...the UCS X- Wing...greater and more satisfying than both the Whirl and Wheel Super Truck and the Snowspeeder (1) (...)   Re: Island Hopper.

Justin, I agree with you on the review. I like the set and it is a nice model overall. The tail section uses some unorthodox construction techniques ( like the wing panels from Darth Vader's TIE fighter or the Sith Infiltrator) which I thought was a (...)   Island Hopper.

This is a great set, and my new favorite Lego set. It's not juniorized at all, looks really sharp from both a design and color standpoint, and is just overall a great model. The wings fold up, there is a little storage spot in the back, and the set (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jun-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: 6713 - Grip-n-Go Challenge (A decidedly UNjuniorized TOWN set)

Re: 6713 - Grip-n-Go Challenge (A decidedly UNjuniorized TOWN set)

(...) Yup the vehicles have pincers on the front that work with a simple mechanism in the back that you pull to open the claw and a rubber band closes the claw after release. There are no instructions on how to play in the box but I think it is (...) (25 years ago, 27-May-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.town, lugnet.general)

Re: 6713 - Grip-n-Go Challenge (A decidedly UNjuniorized TOWN set)

Thanks for the review. It certainly looks like a fun set with interesting parts. I wonder how you can play with the set, though? I suppose the vehicles can grip the ball? Fredrik (25 years ago, 27-May-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.town, lugnet.general)
