I agree with you on the review. I like the set and it is a nice model overall.
The tail section uses some unorthodox construction techniques ( like the wing
panels from Darth Vader's TIE fighter or the Sith Infiltrator) which I thought
was a bit lacking but there are a lot of good pieces and the folding wings
etc. are a nice touch. It is also interesting that they use a female minifig
as the pilot...LEGO goes Equal Rights!!!
There is a bit of color mixing (2x4 green plates on the bottom of the
pontoons) which I personally don't like. Hey, my first sets were all classic
space so I like boxes full of one or two colors but thats just my opinion.
Overall I think it is well worth the $20.00.

| This is a great set, and my new favorite Lego set. It's not juniorized at all, looks really sharp from both a design and color standpoint, and is just overall a great model. The wings fold up, there is a little storage spot in the back, and the set (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jun-00, to lugnet.reviews)
