  I got the Jet Throwbot!

***** 8504 Jet 42 pieces $5.99 US/ $9.99 Canada (paid $7.99 Canada, as LEGO was 20% off) Pros: it's fun to build and play with Cons: none of significance Jet is great! His flight mode reminds me of a mechanized pterodactyl, but that might be just (...) (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.technic)

5934 Track Master / Dino Explorer review

I bought this set, just to have a red pterodactyl ^-^ I'm pretty dissappointed, though: 1. Red looks awful on a pterodactyl 2. The set isn't that good. It's a vehicle on threads, and a small rock with a fire, plant, and water barrel. Included is (...) (24 years ago, 9-Oct-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  5904/1280 "Professor on Flying Thing"

I don't know what name this set has. It's somekind of flying device, but it could never fly for real, due to the lack of a tail rotor. It's like a helicopter, but it doesn't have the tail rotor (and the main rotor is to small) and without a tail (...) (24 years ago, 1-Oct-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  4285 Classic Bucket reviewed

I found this one on sale (9,90 USD, converted from SEK) in my toy store, and since it was a) A bucket b) Fairly cheap I bought it. I'm not very impressed with the models pictured on the bucket, and in the small book that comes in the bucket. (...) (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: 5935 Island Hopper review

I saw the Island Hopper in a store today, and was very impressed with the alternate models they were able to do. I really want one of these sets, although I doubt I'll get it before Christmas. (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: 5935 Island Hopper review

(...) Yea, TLC should be ashamed on this point. (...) Standard Gail Storm face. (...) Not sure why the tail separates, but I think the wings fold for stowage on a ship. (...) This compartment is quite large, which is nice. It has both a 4x4 hinged (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: 5921 Research Glider

(...) The brick with the clip on the side has appeared at least as early as last year. The Naboo Swamp set uses several to hold the "vines". (...) The cap is the kepi from wild west, now in brown. It also has appeared in blue (wild west), dark grey (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  5935 Island Hopper review

I bought this because it wasn't very expensive for such a big set, if it was Star Wars it probably would have costed 35 dollars, but it was only 22,9 in my toy store. (Prices converted from SEK to USD) It's a nice set, and it has a lot of (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.reviews)

  5921 Research Glider

These sets probably have been out for a long time in the US, but they're new here in Sweden. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into my local toy store today and found it full of new sets. I bought the 5921 and 5935. There are some useful/cool (...) (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: Does anyone have a review of 5987 Dino Research Compound?

(...) feature (...) machinery (...) Hmm, not sure what that 3rd thing is. The tram and crane are obviously steam powered, thus the smokestack. Frank (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.reviews)

Re: Does anyone have a review of 5987 Dino Research Compound?

(...) Does anyone know what the little black "smokestack" things in this set are supposed to be? They're made of 2 1x1 round bricks and then the "hose nozzle" piece (I don't know the official name) is on top of that. There appear to be 3 of them, (...)   Re: Does anyone have a review of 5987 Dino Research Compound?

(...) have (...) Good set. I bought one way back in the spring from S@H, and just bought two more during K-Mart's BOGO 50% off sale. One thing which may not be totaly obvious - those 2x2x3 brown columns are NOT one piece, they are 3 brown 2x2 (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.reviews)

Does anyone have a review of 5987 Dino Research Compound?

I'd really like ot hear form someone who actually has this. It appears to have many pros and cons, but overall seems worth getting. Judging from the catalog pictures- Pros: Four dinosaurs, the car, white spider?, capture nets (I don't have these (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.reviews)

  Re: 8458 - Silver Champion -- Opinions?

  Re: 8458 - Silver Champion -- Opinions?

Nice to build, it took about 5 hours altogether. It is quite large at about 2 feet. Unlike the supercar the parts are not pre sorted. I was very pleased with it. I didn't see any pieces which were new to me. -- Tony "Peter A. Vogel" (...) (24 years ago, 16-Sep-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.technic)

  8458 - Silver Champion -- Opinions?

Does anyone have the 8458 yet? If so, what do you think of the set? Good pieces? Interesting construction? How big is it? Thanks, -Peter FLL Team #1096 coach (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.technic)

  6032 Catapult Crusher

6032 Catapult Crusher approx. 55 pcs costs $10.34 at Zellers, after the tax The Parts I think there are some good parts in here. The catapult bucket of course is interesting, and a fun challenge to reuse over and over again as anything but a (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Review: 5571 Black Cat Big Rig

Model Team 5571 Black Cat Big Rig SHOWCASE COLLECTOR SERIES (URL) I finally got my Black Cat Big Rig 5571 on August 2, 2000.   Re: Review for 7155, Trade Federation AAT

(...) I'm quite pleased with this set, all things considered. Obviously, any set that offers tan bricks, slopes, and misc. elements is a good thing. I probably would have preferred paying an extra $10 for a more substantial set; the rear quarters (...) (24 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.reviews)
