  Re: Raves for Lego Basketball

(...) That is good news. I will have to go practice this out. So untill I get it down our match is off ;) lol. I think I liked the last pass the best - classic. Mark P (URL) (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: Review of 2942 Explore Logic (Duplo) Play House

(...) I don't recall seeing anything that looked like a shower head in the set, only a bath. Maybe it was there, but I didn't recognise it? Kerry (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.duplo)

Re: Review of 2942 Explore Logic (Duplo) Play House

(...) Just a difference in description I think, they're the same piece. I've got 3 of these things and they all sound a bit different to each other, just the luck of the draw. One is much more ding-dongey than the others, one is a bit of a fizzer (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.duplo)

Hi Kerry, thnaks for the extensive review, I have bought this set in Denmark, and in my set the doorbell DO sound like a "ding-dong", and DO irritate adults the 100th time!! It (...)   Review of 2942 Explore Logic (Duplo) Play House

Set #: 2942 Theme: Explore Logic (Duplo) Play House Set name: Play House (a bit unimaginative) URL: (URL) 3-6, 89 pieces, 4 figures. (C) 2000, no instruction manual. Price Range: US$70 on Shop@Home, bought retail in Australia for about A$100. As an (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-03, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.duplo)

  Re: Raves for Lego Basketball

(...) Came home from work today and immediately hit the court. I videotaped my passing drills and have a short clip that shows two passes being completed. I've rendered it in both MPEG (1.4 mb) and RealVideo (700 kb) formats. The direct links are (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.reviews)

  Re: Raves for Lego Basketball

(...) Mark - I just finished checking out your review of the NBA theme and as always I enjoyed my visit to the Land of Bricks. You continue to do a great job with the topics you choose to focus on and the presentations you come up with. I've always (...)   Re: Raves for 3431 and Lego Basketball in General

(...) Oh ya, I agree 100%!! They are very cool sets. I admit also, when I first saw pics of the sets I was not impressed. But I got the 2 on 2 streetball set also and was really surprised how fun it was. So far this is the biggest surprise for me (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: Raves for 3431 and Lego Basketball in General

(...) At basketball practice tonight I worked on passing for the first time. I managed to complete 5 passes between two of the players on the 3431 court. It took me at least 50 attempts to make that many completed passes so it's far from being a (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: Raves for 3431 and Lego Basketball in General

(...) I broke out the 3428 1x1 Action set at the office this afternoon and was showing it off to a few people. One of the women asked me if there was a buzzer that would sound every time I scored. That and an automated scoreboard would be awesome! (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jan-03, to lugnet.reviews)

Re: Raves for 3431 and Lego Basketball in General

Hear hear! (...) I'll bet someone more talented than me with an RCX could come up with a decent scoreboard. (...) But I'm with you. I detest pro-sports. (I'm not entirely sure about College sports either...) But this Basketball LEGO is out and out (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jan-03, to lugnet.reviews)

Raves for 3431 and Lego Basketball in General

I just wanted to take a few minutes and do some raving about how much I like the new Lego NBA Basketball sets. Initially, I had very little interest in the announcement of this new theme since I’m completely apathetic about the world of professional (...)   Re: Review of 10030 Imperial Star Destroyer

(...) The only things on the ship that aren't perfectly mirrored are the detail 10x1 plates around the large trench, and the 10x2 detail plates on the tower. And those are only assymmetrical because they themselves are mirror images from the left to (...) (22 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Review of 10030 Imperial Star Destroyer

(...) Yes, I noticed that error. I had to refer to another picture of the bridge on the box to see if they were supposed to be flush or 1 stud away, and they were supposed to be flush. (...) Probably so. Or at least, I hope so. Otherwise you got (...) (22 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Review of 10030 Imperial Star Destroyer

(...) I must agree with Matt. I enjoyed the original review overall, but I have "flown" the ISD around by removing the tower sections and using the internal frame as a handle as well, and I have never had a single plate or greeblie fall off. We're (...) (22 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Review of 10030 Imperial Star Destroyer

(...) Agreed wholeheartedly, as I opened the box and removed the instructions I found that just travelling to my house had caused a severe rip in the spine. There was a rip on the front cover in the bottom left hand corner. However, after assembly, (...) (22 years ago, 30-Dec-02, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Review of 10030 Imperial Star Destroyer

One other point I forgot to mention in my original review ... The massive instruction book (228 A3 pages) is too heavy for its style of binding and the covers quickly detached from the rest of the book as I started to turn through the pages. And (...)   Re: Review of 10030 Imperial Star Destroyer

(...) Ah, yes, now I remember. The rest of the manual all showed one dome 1 stud away, but on the pictures both are flush. I just put mine flush, I think it's a typo. I snapped a picture with my camera of it: (URL) (22 years ago, 29-Dec-02, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Review of 10030 Imperial Star Destroyer

(...) I'm not sure if it was only me, but I noticed some discrepancies with the deflector shield domes ("golf balls"). Most steps show one dome flush against the edge of the plate it sits on, and the other dome 1 stud away from the edge. Can someone (...)
