I'll bet someone more talented than me with an RCX could come up with a
decent scoreboard.

But I'm with you. I detest pro-sports. (I'm not entirely sure about
College sports either...) But this Basketball LEGO is out and out fun!
Either LEGO got it right, or the NBA sets are coated with some NBA cocaine
sample rejects making it entirely too addicting.
I picked up the set with the blocker bouncing up and down that has a
wonderful little wind up motor in it. Not particuarily powerful, nor fast.
I see great potential for mechanizing space landing gear. (Release a catch,
and down comes the gear in a nice smooth action) But for now I'm shooting
hoops working on my game.

| (...) I broke out the 3428 1x1 Action set at the office this afternoon and was showing it off to a few people. One of the women asked me if there was a buzzer that would sound every time I scored. That and an automated scoreboard would be awesome! (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jan-03, to lugnet.reviews)
