Re: Brickmania withdraws from Brickshelf —Dean Husby
(...) I agree with you Dan. This moderation was jumped into before ANYTHING was ready. The software, the people and the rules... It was VERY badly done. Yes, Kevin may own Brickshelf, as a landlord owns a building. But he doesn't own the contents of (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Brickmania withdraws from Brickshelf —James Trobaugh
In lugnet.publish, Dean Husby writes: <snip> (...) How did you come up with July 4th? The current moderation situation started on June 25th ((URL) ), or are you saying that Daniel's withdraw was the "death of Brickshelf" jt (23 years ago, 6-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Brickmania withdraws from Brickshelf —Kevin Loch
(...) Are you joking? Do you have any idea how bad that would work? (...) ABSOLUTELY FALSE. (...) Once again, there is only one official moderator. If it's unsafe or off topic, it WILL be deleted. If it's safe and on-topic, it will be public. (...) (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Brickmania withdraws from Brickshelf —Mark Neumann
(...) Ok, this wasn't funny. (...) And this scared the living bejabbers out of me.... Kevin, I got a CPR card if it helps. Mark (23 years ago, 7-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Brickmania withdraws from Brickshelf —Mark Papenfuss
(...) Actually, I think this would be a great idea. I am a mod over at BZcommunity and there is a 'report post to a moderator' button and it works wonders. It is almost never abused and I would honestly say 98% of every report I have got has been a (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Brickmania withdraws from Brickshelf (and some random thoughts) —Melody Brown
My random thoughts: I have read some of the more interesting and wiser postings, and have to say that I agree with many things that have been said, some of them I couldn’t say better myself, others are just plain commonsense and then there are some (...)          Re: Brickmania withdraws from Brickshelf (and some random thoughts) —Manfred Moolhuysen
Hello Melody, You've expressed your feelings about the subject very well. I wish I could write as good as you do. But I can't, so I'm very pleased you did this. I speculate (and hope) that your post might be close to the opinion of the the silend (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: all your base is Brickshelf's (and some random thoughts) —Joseph Williams
(...) These are generally my sentiments too. I hope the tone of my typing investigating the testamentgate coverup was not taken too seriously. I totally understand the recent developments in the online Lego landscape as fully necessary and applaude (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Brickmania withdraws from Brickshelf —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) No, it was extremely well-done for the amount that YOU'VE paid for it. (...) Okay, this is getting further and further into the "Pretty Damn Loopy" category. I have one suggestion for anyone who openly criticizes Kevin for the way he handles (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Brickmania withdraws from Brickshelf —Tom McDonald
(...) However anyone might feel, From Brickshelf's Terms of Service: (URL) MODIFICATIONS TO SERVICE Brickshelf reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part (...)         Re: Brickmania withdraws from Brickshelf —Matthew Hamand
(...) This analogy is so dead on that it is a shame you are using it in such an incorrect manner. No, Kevin does not own the contents of the various Brickshelf folders. However, just like a landlord he gets to say what does or does not go in them. (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)
