  Re: html on Brickshelf?

(...) I hadn't thought of it that way. But don't get me wrong. I wasn't planning on putting the images in the html file, just the text that would go along with it. If I wanted to put text AND images, I'd use my web site for that. Russell (25 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: html on Brickshelf?

(...) If he starts allowing html, then it's no longer an image database, and it's become a web server. I'd suggest that if you're that concerned about your text format, either do it as a word document, or create a web page somewhere else (perhaps (...) (25 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.publish)

  html on Brickshelf?

This question is directed towards Kevin Loch. Several people, myself included, post .txt files to accompany images. Is it possible to post a .html file instead of a .txt file? The reason I ask is for formatting of the text. Russell (25 years ago, 15-Mar-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: FTX Guide

Todd, Thanks for the quick fix. I just checked and it works great. I have to tell you that I think the whole FTX thing is a great idea. The code is easy to follow and the examples you provide are excellent. I am considering requiring my college (...) (25 years ago, 15-Mar-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: FTX Guide

(...) My bad. I did something stupid a week ago that broke it. Thanks for reporting the problem. Try again now. My apologies for the broken functionality. (...) I guess we could create one, if people thought it might be useful. --Todd (25 years ago, 14-Mar-01, to lugnet.publish)

  FTX Guide

I am trying to view and print the "printer friendly version of the FTX guide, however, every time try and view the page, get a sniggleport (or somthing like that error). Has anyone else experienced this error? Has any one else been able to print the (...) (25 years ago, 14-Mar-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Snarfing directories from Brickshelf?

(...) I solved this "problem" by writing a smallish perl program that gets the HTML pages from brickshelf (for a given folder or member), parses them and proceeds to mirror the images to my Archive. (...) Brickshelf already provides this for the (...) (25 years ago, 13-Mar-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Soaking Wet

As a tribute to my favorite theme, I've created Soaking Wet, a guide to Aquazone MOCs and information. (URL) will attempt to update the page with each announcement of new MOCs or aquazone sites. Please have a look. If you would like to be added to (...) (25 years ago, 10-Mar-01, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.publish) !

  Snarfing directories from Brickshelf?

Kevin, If I wanted to get a full directory of images from Brickshelf, what's the best way to do this? (Hopefully not image-by-image... My ISP allows me to download tarballs of directories if I have permission to read those directories via FTP. :-) (...) (25 years ago, 8-Mar-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: A few FTX questions

(...) Okay. (...) Aha, that's good. (...) A directory, meaning a listing of all FTX files? (...) Nope, I was just curious, and wondering if I should keep careful track of anything I'm saving for future use. (25 years ago, 7-Mar-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: A few FTX questions

(...) That's correct, currently. (...) I can see all the pages. (...) Yes, it's a potential problem, until a directory is made. (...) No changes yet. If you're missing something, drop me a note. --Todd (25 years ago, 7-Mar-01, to lugnet.publish)

  A few FTX questions

Hey Todd, A few FTX questions, no rush about this, I'm just curious. A while back I remember you said there's no way of finding FTX docs you created and forgot their names. Does that imply that without a link, there is no way of knowing if a page (...) (25 years ago, 7-Mar-01, to lugnet.publish)

New newsgroup for LEGO sightings/appearances in the media

We're pleased to announce the creation of a new discussion area for sightings of the LEGO Company, its products, and the community in the media (TV, movies, print media, etc.). Any time you see LEGO mentioned in the media (anywhere worldwide), feel (...) (25 years ago, 5-Mar-01, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.publish, lugnet.announce) !

Re: LEGO Appearences on the media is updated (and moved!)

(...) Thanks! (...) That got it. Makes sense once you think about it. (...) When I moved the location, I brought up the ftx code by adding .ftx to the end of the page name and then copy and pasted it to the new location. That's where the two leading (...)   Re: LEGO Appearences on the media is updated (and moved!)

(...) Ooops, scratch that second part. It actually uses this: <<example>> (just the relative page name, not the full absolute page name). (...) That part is still correct. It fills in the full path for the <A NAME="..."> part. --Todd (25 years ago, 3-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

Re: LEGO Appearences on the media is updated (and moved!)

(...) There's an undocumented feature that kinda does this. I say "kinda" because it only does it in certain circumstances. If you transclude a page as described here: (URL) the URI of the page you're transcluding gets put into a NAME= attribute of (...) (25 years ago, 3-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

Re: LEGO Appearences on the media is updated (and moved!)

(...) obvious (...) FTX takes a bit of getting used to, but once you work out how it uses paragraphs to separate stuff, it really is quite nice to use. It lacks a lot of sophistacted HTML stuff, but if you want that, you should be looking at your (...) (25 years ago, 3-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish)

Re: LEGO Appearences on the media is updated (and moved!)

(...) Awesome!! (...) Ahh, it's because you've got an extra blank line after the first row. That throws it out of table mode and thinks you're starting a new paragraph, and it puts that row in its own table. Sorry about that. A couple other (...)   Keppler Industries back online with no more ads + a new MOC!

My site at mediaone is back online, so if you refused to visit back when I had it up temporairly on a free server with ads, now's the time to visit! I made a new MOC to celebrate the occasion!   Re: Announcement: Member pages

(...) Not the images per se, no. You aren't granting permission to actually publish raw JPEG (or GIF, or whatever) images from the server or from anywhere else. But you are granting the right to publish, adapt, etc. the content that you do submit (...) (25 years ago, 1-Mar-01, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.admin.general)
