Converting Quicktime Movies to MPEG or .RM???

Hi, I just found out that my digital camera takes Quicktime movies. This is a cool feature, but Qicktime seems to be a crappy format. - First of all, it is huge! 11 seconds takes up 4.5MB of space. This takes forever to download from a web page. - (...) (25 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.publish)

Are there any free counters out there?

Hi, I like to use counters to keep track of how many people visit my web pages. I'm constantly having problems accessing the single counter that my web provider gives me. Also, I can't reset it to a different number. I've accidentally cleared it a (...) (25 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Point and Shoot Cameras

(...) Harvey, I would say, that the best digital (and real too!) camera for taking lego photos is one that can focus down to as close to the lens as you can afford. I use a Yashica FX-D body, with either a 55mm normal lens, or the Yashica Macro (...) (25 years ago, 18-Feb-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Point and Shoot Cameras

Hello everyone, I'd like to know which film cameras out there (not digital) would be best for photographing my train MOC's. Can the point and shoot type be good also? Is 35mm best for this? -Harvey (25 years ago, 18-Feb-01, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Legal problem--Use of 2x2 brick as icon?

(...) Jamie makes a great point. Since we are all LEGO fans we assume the brick is a LEGO brick, but every automatic binding brick system out there makes a 2x2 brick. Since everyone wants to be compatible with LEGO bricks, without a close-up of the (...) (25 years ago, 18-Feb-01, to lugnet.publish)

  Excellent Free Webhost

I've found an excellent webhost. It has no ads, and gives 15MB of space and 100MB of bandwidth per month, and also CGI privileges. You could put your LEGO webpages there. Its homepage is at (URL) . </alan> (25 years ago, 18-Feb-01, to lugnet.publish)

(...) remember (...) Oooh, I can visualize the pencil-rocket-brick thing! If you want, I could send you a mock-up graphic. Let me know. Regards, --Ryan (25 years ago, 15-Feb-01, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Legal problem--Use of 2x2 brick as icon?

(...) It's just a fact that that image IS associated with their product! ===...=== I'm trying to put some original thought into my icons. Something like a pencil, or a rocket ship, or a pencil that turns into a rocket ship, that looks vaguely like a (...) (25 years ago, 15-Feb-01, to lugnet.publish)

Re: New FTX page of Plasticity

(...) Ditto to that -- and then some! My jaw dropped when I saw the entry page -- I sat there for 20 seconds and thought, "How did he lay that out? FTX table support is so minimal...how did he code it?" Then I looked at the source (by adding (...) (25 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.town, lugnet.publish)
