  Re: BrickShelf: Contacting Members

(...) It would be very nice to be able to get in touch with builders that have less than obvious usernames. In the mean time, we do have one source available- (URL) the best but hey, it's something. Adr. (20 years ago, 7-Nov-04, to lugnet.publish)

(...) I vote YES on this one. Saso (20 years ago, 7-Nov-04, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: BrickShelf: Contacting Members

(...) I second this desire. There are quite a few members I'd like to get in touch with regards to a community project I've been working on in my spare time. -Orion (20 years ago, 7-Nov-04, to lugnet.publish)

  BrickShelf: Contacting Members

I'm continually frustrated and dissatisfied at the lack of real names on BrickShelf, even though it was explained retrospectively. It makes it virtually impossible to contact people whose usernames aren't known in the community. It would be great to (...) (20 years ago, 7-Nov-04, to lugnet.publish) !

  Re: 4562 Revealed! *Version #2*

(...) The one you say is broken works when I click on it. I'm using Netscape 7.02. I don't know enough about the FTX code to know which browsers work with it. But this issue pales in comparison to the fact that when you buy 3 of the 4562 set at (...) (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.publish.html)

Re: How to make brickshelf folders public?

(...) You can also just update the folder description or tags to force re-moderation. You don't even have to change anything, just edit and submit. HTH ROSCO (20 years ago, 4-Oct-04, to lugnet.publish)

Re: How to make brickshelf folders public?

(...) Doubtful, he lets Rob Hendrix's stuff through. :-) I repeat my suggestion, put a new pic in the folder. This marks the folder as needing moderation review again. Failing that, send a note to Kevin directly. (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.publish)

Re: How to make brickshelf folders public?

(...) Thanks Lar The tips are useful. There are however only 4 pics in there and they are all lego. He may object to my amateur attempts to modify lego bricks with a soldering iron though ;-) Cheers Mick (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.publish)

Re: How to make brickshelf folders public?

(...) "he". It's one person, Kevin Loch, that has the entire moderation responsibility. (...) If it is very very old, it may have fallen off the list of things to moderate by oversight. Try adding a single picture to the folder. This marks the (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.publish)

Yahoo Groups have an RSS feed?

I happened to be messing around with michlug's announcement (URL) list> (1) and when I made it public (2) I found that it created an (URL) RSS feed>.   Re: Another LENNI Question (geek alert)

(...) We at Ascential are seeing our customers, and the big ecommerce standards bodies, shifting away from DTDs and towards schema definitions for XML standards. The major reasons given are that the schema definition is much more expressive than a (...) (20 years ago, 12-Sep-04, to lugnet.publish)

LENNI Specification v0.2 Request For Comment

Thanks so far to everyone who's participated in the LEGO Enthusiast News Network Initiative (LENNI) discussions. I've gotten a very clear idea of what types of things should be in this proposal, and have completed the draft of version 0.2, which is (...)   Re: Another LENNI Question (geek alert)

(...) Right, no need to force software updates every time we add to the list. Hopefully it'll be all back-end. My only real concern right now would be how stable is XSD? I keep running across people trashing it on the various blog sites. But I don't (...) (20 years ago, 12-Sep-04, to lugnet.publish)

Re: Another LENNI Question (geek alert)

(...) I like this solution. The schema can be used not only for validation, but can be pulled to get the list of possible values. Quick question though - can't the list of allowed values be specified in the DTD, which we're going to maintain anyway? (...)   Another LENNI Question (geek alert)

Next techie question for LENNI… including semi-dynamic options for filters. OK, now that I've gotten a pretty good idea of what to do with the LENNI spec (which should have a v0.2 draft this weekend), the one big question that is still bugging me is (...)
