With only 48 hours left A&M Productions is proud to present a new set of building instructions by entitled Be Mine Sculptor! This sculptor is a creation of Tony Hafner and (...)   Blockheads: Regular People, Amazing Creations

I'm constantly amazed by all the great things people build with LEGO. Our eclectic hobby is a rich and expressive nexus of art, science, and humanity. I've often wished there were a simple way to share this amazement with people outside the hobby. (...)   Re: Lego colors compared to PANTONE (TM) or HKS

(...) I finished being a grad student last year, but I still think I might be able to use a spectrometer. :-) But I don't think we have one in the lab where I work now. :-( I will check it, when my LEGO arrives in town.   Re: Flash questions

(...) AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH...HAHAHHA!!! Sorry, but that seemed a real contridiction there -- I have played with Swish, Flash, and HTML in my time and I cannot see how HTML could be much easier and accomplish what it does at the same time. (...) (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.publish.html)

  Flash questions

Hello, all. I've been thinking about making a sight using only Flash. I'm too lazy to do HTML, and Flash is much easier and cooler. :) But, I have a few questions before I go and buy a real program instead of a demo. Why don't more people use Flash? (...)   Re: Tony's LEGO Stuff v2.0

I say keep the images in the same window. If someone wants a new window, they can hold shift while clicking the link (in IE 6 at least). Descions like that should be made by the viewer, not the coder, IMO. Personally, I don't really like the flash (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.publish.html)

  Re: Tony's LEGO Stuff v2.0

Tony, I have a piece of Javascript where you can provide it the name of the image and it pops open the window for you. Included on the window is a close button. I could modify the script so that you could provide it the next and previous images and (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.publish.html)

  Re: Tony's LEGO Stuff v2.0

I don't think I have the patience to code a page for each image :( Especially since Paul needs more pics :) I still have to praise Sun for his patience though. As for the text, I was waiting to here about this. I was at a freind's house and they (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.publish.html)

  Re: Tony's LEGO Stuff v2.0

Instantaneous? Heck Ya! I hate waiting for pics to load, too impatient! I am glad to here that it loads fast. I'm still trickling through with a 28.8 connection, and I think it loads pretty fast, especially after you have the animation cached! (...)   Re: Tony's LEGO Stuff v2.0

Ah yes the intro flash has been corrected. I forgot to put a stop action at the end and to goto url command takes a few frames, so that is why the repeat occured. The flash at the top I am totally buzzed about. I gives you something to look at while (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.publish.html, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Tony's LEGO Stuff v2.0

(...) I'm fine with the pop-up window for the pictures, although I wouldn't mind seeing a 'next' and 'previous' button on them similar to the Foundry DX site. I have my browser text size set to 'medium' and run a resolution of 1024x768 and I found (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.publish.html)

  Re: Tony's LEGO Stuff v2.0

This looks incredible Tony. Not only is the Flash beautiful, but it compliments the site rather than overpowering it. The presentation is clean and pro, the navigation easy, and of course the content rocks as always. Viewing it on XPpro thru a 56.6k (...)   Re: Tony's LEGO Stuff v2.0

Dude your site is so frick'n cool I can't beleive it! Quick run down: Entrance page: Frigg'n cool as heck! Only thing, I noticed, the Flash trys to repeat right about the same time the page redirect is taking place. So it seems like some more Flash (...)   Re: ESLC -->mini web site<-- Yay!

Snow Clan Master! I reconsidered the layout as well as the advice from you and Bram. I removed the Halo Orbit on the cursor, and I reduced the shake speed. I reviewed the script and cut it down to a minimum. The novelty wore off and I think its (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Tony's LEGO Stuff v2.0

Re: ESLC -->mini web site<-- Yay!

It works fine with my browser (i.e.) Eric. It's amusing, but I feel I must agree with Bram. Live with it for a week and loose it. Remember the horrors of the <blink> tag. Use stuff like that extremely sparingly. And I like my cursor, leave it alone. (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Tony's LEGO Stuff v2.0

Hey I am glad you responded to my question. I could not decide on the pop-up or the smae-browser-back-button approach. So now that someone has spoken in favor of the back button, I will switch it. Thanks Jason. out (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.publish.html)
