I very much appreciate the... hmm... irregular look of your American regulars -- they convey a certain sense of organized rabble which I think is often forgotten by the movies! That’s not by way of criticism, I should say -- I like the edginess of that ill-shaven guy with the blue rag-hat and the pistol... well, as much as I can like any enemies of the crown :-D!

i agree with Mr Tam here. what hollywood generally forgets is that the majority of the american army during this period was made up of everyday people who volunteered for their state’s respective militia. even during the war, there werent really any american “regulars”. i think you have done a good job of conveying that image. :-)

I’ll look forward to seeing more. Oh, by the way, have you considered a variety of uniform facings -- I think the officer’s coat might serve you hero rather well... let me find the link here...

And if you’re doing a lot of stick-on uniforms, you might want to get into even more custom attire -- special uniforms by regiment and so on...

Anyway, I very much look forward to new pics. Of course, Brickley’s Cove will have to strengthen it’s infantry presence with this new threat. Since we’re in 1806(ish) we’ll only be repsonding 30 years too late -- not too bad, I suppose... ;-)

Mr Tam, my fleet (even the unposted ships) is always standing by in case the need to assist another british colony ever arises! we can provide armed escorts and fire support if a landing be on the books! ;-) in these troubled times, the pro british must stick together, to dissuade any others from following suitand rising up! yr humble servant

thanks steve

Ahh Mr. Rowe, good to have your support! (...) Indeed it was the case -- just as the redcoats often faded to orange and brown on campaign, and so forth. War was never so neatly dressed as it was in the paintings of the time, and the film of today. (...) (21 years ago, 3-Sep-03, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)
