Sorry, owing to my whirlwind posting spree I’m going to economize this:

1. “Nelson and his Captains”, by Ludvic Kennedy -- just great entertainment (with history)! 2. Naval history in general -- from Athens to Japan, it all draws me back to the sea. 3. Hornblower, Sharpe, and the rest of the great period Revolution/Napoleonic fiction. 4. This board and all of the great nautical creations we find. 5. In a turned-about way, various brands of military Science Fiction (David Weber’s Honor Harrington, or David Feintuch’s Hope series novels, to name two).

And, I should make specific reference to the good-naturedness of this board. Unlike some other groups I’ve been a part of, I’ve found this one to be both positive and constructive!

Regards,
