Hey I just got an idea, I might use it myself someday.  I read all these
results and they say use burps or buy lots of bulk tubs to get it up 6+
bricks high.  This is my idea, get enough of the right color bricks for the
visible parts, and then DUPLO the rest of the ground.  One or two, or three
duplo bricks high should be tall enough and then cover the top layer with
some bricks and make a wall for the visible part, possible with rock burps,
that would look nice.  Then you have a base that's raised up and is
completely solid.  Duplo should be easy to get off ebay or something, and
any color will do.  Hmm, that's a good idea, I gotta go try it.

Hi all,

I'm in the process of building a dock-side town and am wondering how to go
about it. You see, I guess one would normally like to have docks which are
3-4 bricks high, but does that mean the entire village must be elevated by
this much. How do other people handle this problem. Do they simply place
all of the town baseplates on stilts?

Cheers,

Stephen
