Re: Which is better-Red or Blue?

(...) I'll divide my vote: the best sets were those of the guards, the Imperial Trading Post is considerably better than the Eldorado Fortress. BUT I do prefer the blue uniforms... I used to give them blue legs, though - with white legs they look (...) (22 years ago, 11-Sep-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Which is better-Red or Blue?

RED, I think cuz the Imperial Guards were later in the series. The sets got better as time went on, in my opinion. Red Rulz and Blue Droolz! (...) (22 years ago, 11-Sep-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Which is better-Red or Blue?

(...) I prefer the Guards' Imperial Trading Post and Imperial Flagship to the Soldiers' ElDorado Fortress and Caribbean Clipper, so I'd have to give the nod to the Red Guys. Bruce (22 years ago, 11-Sep-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Strange ships in Port Brique

(...) The most recent of Her Majesty's modern destroyers didn't do particularly well in southern waters.... (...) No, they came for the good food! Cheers Richie (22 years ago, 11-Sep-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Which is better-Red or Blue?

(...) From the strictest standpoint of sets... well, I'd go with the Guards -- *only* because I was too young to get my hands on the soldier sets when they were out. Not a qualitative assesment by any means at all... In practice, I like them both (...) (22 years ago, 11-Sep-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Strange ships in Port Brique

Oh *sure*, drum up the arms race, why don't you? It was a nice clean argument between ports full of sailing ships and then you have to bring a modern destroyer into it... Hey, wait a second, HMLS... HER MAJESTY'S! Please tell me she arrived in port (...) (22 years ago, 11-Sep-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Which is better-Red or Blue?

(...) Umm... Red. No Blue! Oh please! I can't decide, they are both so good. Please don't cast me into the Pit of Despair!! -Aaron- #279 (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.pirates)

  Which is better-Red or Blue?

Wassssssup everybody, This is pretty much just an opinion question. Which do you think was the better line of sets-The Imperial Guards line (red guys) of the earlier Soldiers line (blue guys). I don't think Armada needs to be mentioned because of (...) (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: How closely do TLC check the builder of the month entries?

Interesting... Maybe Lego(R) enthusiasts should make some copyright and terms of use clauses to protect their work and the likeness. Watermarking images? -Rob (22 years ago, 5-Sep-02, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.pirates)

Re: How closely do TLC check the builder of the month entries?

To All, (...) Indeed. Does anyone else think that because of the reoccuring theme of theft of images, and TLC's apprarent lack of staff or monitoring to combat this, that this should just be shut down? With the thousands of LEGO oriented pictures, (...) (22 years ago, 5-Sep-02, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.pirates)

  Re: 3867 Baseplate 16 x 16 with Island Pattern

Okay, great confusion here. . . When assembling the two larger (6265 and 6260) of my four Pirate sets, I was suprised to see that TLC had used the same pattern on two 16x16 baseplates, but placed it differently. One basplate has the pattern almost a (...) (22 years ago, 23-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.db.brictionary, lugnet.pirates)
