  Re: brickbay?

(...) Check out lugnet.market.brickshops for a thread on the latest. It is down but ought to theoretically be back up soon, maybe. Posting to .pirates about BrickBay is arguably not likely to get a good response in most cases... FUT (...) (23 years ago, 27-Dec-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.market.brickshops)

  brickbay?

Hello, Anyone knows what happened to BrickBay? I'm trying to connect with it for two days, but I can't. Bye, (23 years ago, 27-Dec-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Weird Characters of New Blockerdam

Ahoy there, and a belated christmas to all. For the last couple of weeks, in preparation for a theoretical website, I've been scanning in some of the more notorious characters living in/sailing around the tiny dutch east-indian port of New (...)   Re: Pirate wench question

(...) Dunno, but I've generally heard it as "Amazing Cleavage Babe" or "Butterfly woman". Steve (23 years ago, 26-Dec-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Pirate wench question

(...) I must take this oppurtunity to comment wryly - Huh? Unfortunately I have no dutch heritage whatsoever. So sink me. Michael Dallaston (23 years ago, 24-Dec-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Pirate wench question

(...) I haven't heard that one before, but it seems apt. (...) Heb je soms Nederlandse (of "Nederlandsche" als je over 18de-eeuw Nederlands spreken) tekst nodig? :) I'm still trying to work up a French Pacific port--New Caledonia, somewhere, but I (...) (...) More to the point, which sick mind coined the eternal phrase - "Islander cleavage babe?" ;) Michael Dallaston (now governor of an extremely small dutch pacific port, "New Blockerdam") (23 years ago, 23-Dec-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Pirate wench question

(...) So far as I know, that is a fan name (Forest Wench, Pirate Wench, The Wench with the Wrench in the Billiard Room...oops). Bruce (23 years ago, 21-Dec-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Pirate wench question

Did the name for the female pirate minifig Pirate Wench come from Lego, or is that a fan name for it? (23 years ago, 20-Dec-01, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: major sale on pirate island

Re: Pirate Good Deed For The Day

(...) Arrr, we be mighty proud o' ye, matey! We have a big barrel at work for toy donations (Toys for Tots, I think). And every year it sits a bit forlornly until I dump in an armload of sets. The barrel fills up after that. Your message was a good (...) (23 years ago, 14-Dec-01, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Pirate Good Deed For The Day

(...) Heh. Were it anyone else, I'd scream "ARRR! Pirates don't do good deeds, unless there's RUM involved." ;) (...) That's a pretty good idea--we had toy drives at NWUU, but never any specific notice of particular toys. That may be because there (...) (23 years ago, 14-Dec-01, to lugnet.pirates)

Pirate Good Deed For The Day

Well, I was too late to do a LEGO Good Deed, so I had to settle for a Pirate Good Deed. Every year our Church puts "Christmas Angels" on the tree, identifying a toy a needy child desires. Last year I managed to snag one asking for a LEGO set. This (...) (23 years ago, 14-Dec-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: ISCC (mini-)entry: pirates

(...) I agree with Ben. I hate the large moulds (SPUD/BURP/POOP pieces), but I think what the roof does far outweighs its limited uses in MOCs. (...)   Important: Maybe a misunderstanding in the ISCC rules

Hello, Maybe a misunderstanding in the rules for the ISCC causes less entries. There is the sentence: "Do not send in contributions that are already known, as we want original works." It only means, that the entries need to were unknown or were not (...) Hello Reinhard, (...) I think that in case of HP sets we're paying mostly for Hardy Porter logo, characters, etc. (vide Star Wars). With regular bricks or without it the set must be expensive...
