Just a question, but how big are some of the pirate fleets out there? And is
there anybody in the Washington DC area that wargames with ships ( Evil
Stevie's pirate game? )?

I'm up to about 30 some odd craft with 7 or so Schooner size or above. I
haven't had a chance to test them in battle yet, but should the opportunity
present itself...

I guess I should take a rest from ships and buy a digital Camera so I can
start posting pictures... We'll see. Just looking to see what other people
have and maybe get a good concensus on what a good fleet should be.

Thanks

In Steve Jackson terms:

Class 8 (wide, 4 midsections):   0
Class 7 (wide, 3 midsections):   3
Class 6 (wide, 2 midsections):   4
Class 5 (narrow, 3 midsections): 0
Class 4 (wide, 1 midsections):   1
Class 4 (narrow, 2 midsections): 2
Class 3 (narrow, 1 midsection):  8
Class 2 (narrow, 0 midsection):  6
Class 2 (Brig, 10 wide custom):  3
Class 1 (Cutter 6 wide custom):  9

36 ships, 108 class sizes.  Oh, and a Miata to transport them in...on the
left coast, no less.  :-)

About the only ship I'll add at this point is a SES, which is the only major
pirate set I don't have (just added the El Dorado Fortress).  Maybe another
BSB.  I suppose I could make a Class 8 - I have a couple of wide midsections
to spare.  I should make a Class 5 one of these days, also, but I'm not sure
of what extra middies I have in narrow.

90 blue coats.  70 red coats.  I'll eventually get them both to 100.  Other
than the slowly expanding soldiers, the fleet has been pretty stable for a
long time.  If I want to make elaborate and large custom ships for display
rather than play, I have plenty of raw material.
