Once again, things are different in the RN/RCN/RAN
Ordenary Seaman (OD)
Able Seaman (AB)
Leading Seaman (LS, what I am-also refered to as a "Killek"(for which I have
the spelling wrong, I am sure...)
Master Seaman (I believe this is Canadian only)(MS)
Petty Officer 2nd Class(PO2)
Petty Officer 1st Class(PO1)
Chief Petty Officer 2nd Class (CPO2)
Chief Petty Officer 1st Class (CPO1)
Little differences between the US and Canada. For example, although you might
think that I am like a seaman 1st class, it is more like a PO3 in the US
standings as an equivelent-especially for responsiblility. On some classes of
ships, I would be standing as EOOW (Engineering Officer Of Watch).
