  Avoiding confirmation via e-mail

Hi all, Is it possible to avoid e-mail confirmation when I send a message via NNTP? Often I use slrn via ssh, and read the e-mails (or open an internet page) to confirm my posts is so annoying. Thanks (and excuse me for my bad English) (18 years ago, 29-Jun-06, to lugnet.people.newbie)

  Another one who's new here

Hello everyone, I've been reading these newsgroups for a while, and now decided to request a posting permit. Before my dark age, I used to build lots of models with LEGO, now, I love to build models for LDraw :-) Concerning the latter, I put some (...) (18 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.people.newbie)

(...) What/WHo/Where is FTX? (...) I tried that web interface, but considered it not worth the trouble. I sincerely hope(d) that I could use the system from the NNTP side of things without having to turn to another webthingy. Anyway, forgot my (...) (19 years ago, 18-Aug-05, to lugnet.people.newbie)

Re: What do I do wrong?

(...) Hi Christian! It appears that you didn't post the note in FTX. The syntax works when you use that format. I don't know how that is done in NNTP, though, as I directly send using the web interface. And GREAT MOC! And nice presentation! Joe Meno (...)   What do I do wrong?

Hello, everybody! I'm sure this has been asked over and over again, but I could not find an answer so far. If you look at this post: (URL) there is a picture embedded, with a link behind it. OK, I copied the syntax used in this post for my post (...) (19 years ago, 18-Aug-05, to lugnet.people.newbie)

  Re: Hello, and NNTP help

(...) Not really. I had already tried 1119. It appears when I change a setting (eg name), it will give me a connection-refused-type message until I switch to 1119, after which both 119 and 1119 will give me go-setup-type messages. --Jamie (19 years ago, 10-Jun-05, to lugnet.people.newbie)

  Re: Hello, and NNTP help

(...) Are you pointing to the right port? IIRC LUGNET does not use the default news port. From (URL) (IIRC, somewhat out of date since it still refers to the default port): ". You might also want to try port 1119, 8000 or 8080 if you are unable to (...) (19 years ago, 10-Jun-05, to lugnet.people.newbie)
