Really? Ken always assumed he was overlooked because he didn't post much and
his website was never updated because of other obligations. The few times he
did post he got no response or bad responses according to _him_. I can kind
of agree with him on that just look at my first ever post. I felt like what
business was it of mine to even bother.

Please, Nicole and Ken, don't do that. Anybody here in Lugnet, except a
very few, is overlooked in anyway. But be sure that there are many
people reading and being helped by the messages here. This issue
surfaces form time to time, actually, but there is no easy answers to
that, except trying to have a little bit tougher skin, maybe. I
generally assume a "to whom it concern" type of thinking while I'm
typing a message to post.

And be sure that, maybe I didn't even replied any of the Ken's messages
(I'm not sure, sometimes I don't look names of messagers before
replying), but "Kenneth A. Drumm Ph.D" is a very familiar name for me,
as "James Brown" (the real one..:-).

Welcome to you, and best wishes to Ken. I hope he will be ok and be with
you again in a little time.

Yes, yes, please don't stop posting. I too recognize Ken's name and enjoy
his posts. Replies generated are *such* a bad measure of lugnet "popularity"
- I'm sure that if you counted how many posts go unreplied, you'd get
anywhere between 50% to 70, maybe 80% of the total number of posts. People
pay attention, though, even if they don't reply. Can you believe that even
Selçuk thought he was unfamiliar on lugnet? (1) Wrong, very wrong. People
don't know how much they are appreciated around here. You'd be surprised at
how many names I recognize and can connect to a site, or better yet, a
personality... I surprised myself a few times, when Chris, Tim and I were
hanging out and trying to remember who had created the tales of Illswich.
Out of nowhere, poof, I say "Greg Howell". I didn't know how I remembered,
but I did, and I was right... that wasn't the only time either. But a place
like lugnet is tough - there are so many people, and since people are wary
of posting, they are in turn wary of replying nonhelpful posts. So they
avoid replying "me too"s and "good stuff" posts. That doesn't mean they
don't like it...

Tell Ken that his presence is so welcome here, please... and so is yours.

-Shiri
