...I read many, many posts and often visit many, many persons' sites. I
certainly enjoy everyone's contributions -- some less, some more -- but I am
always heartened to think that people are out there trying to do their best
with something and just have fun besides. I think that playing with toys
beats "therapy" any day, and it's almost as goods as meditation to me when I
am in the builder's *zone*. But just because one remains silent on someone's
post doesn't mean one did not read and enjoy it, etc. I am of the firm
belief that many more people lurk than post and that needs to always be
taken into consideration. And too, the web is hardly the place for the
thinner-skinned amongst us.
Then again, the thinner-skinned are often the best people around. For
example: Maggie, whom I have had the pleasure to meet in real life over
lunch and lego deals a few times, is one of the kindest, most generous, and
strikingly intelligent women I have ever met -- all this, and a great mother
and wife besides! She SO rocks...!
Anyway, there is room for everyone here I think. Just keep making a place
for yourself and eventually you will belong as even the dread Hop-Frog has
come to belong...
...AND I am still working hard at making Todd regret ever having invited me
here in the first place!

| (...) Larry's right-- I've been posting here for a couple of years now and sometimes I still feel the same way as Ken. And I lurked for a quite a while before that-- and then when I finally got up the nerve to try to post it took me a few months (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jun-01, to lugnet.people)
