  Re: Question... very newbie.

Hi Dwayne and welcome to Lugnet. Of course I don't pay any attention to clones at all :-) but if I did, I would suggest you peruse the ot.clones group. I think you may be interested in work being done by people like Dave! (Schuler, that is.) HTH, (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jan-03, to lugnet.people.newbie)

  Question... very newbie.

First off, let me put on my flame proof suit... somehow I think I am going to need it.... *zips up the last zipper* Ok, I have seen loads of posts decrying Lego Clones as bad things. I have never found, offical part files for Non-Lego parts of any (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jan-03, to lugnet.people.newbie)

Re: Have the admins gone AWOL?

(...) <snip> Who are you again? I mean, I see that nifty logo beside your name but I can't quite recollect who you are... (strokes chin thoughtfully...) (pause) Hi Suz!! :) Glad married life is finding you well, albeit a little busy! All the best, (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jan-03, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.people)

In lugnet.admin.general, Mark D. McKean writes: [...] (...) Hi!! I haven't gone away. But I *am* deeply involved in a number of things, other than LEGO, right now that have sapped my energy and attention. I don't know how long it'll be before I'm (...)   Re: News authentication

(...) You're welcome. I've been building mostly space recently, but my focus varies widely depending on my mood. Your Xizor-like is very neat looking. I've always liked the Xizor, and had meant a few times to make a spin at building something along (...) (22 years ago, 22-Jan-03, to lugnet.people.newbie, lugnet.space)

  Re: News authentication

(...) right? Well, I actually don't build anything else than spacish things, so I hope to see you and the other fellows there very soon. If you're interested, you'll find a few pix of things I've built here: (URL) It's not a lot at the moment but (...) (22 years ago, 22-Jan-03, to lugnet.people.newbie)

  Re: News authentication

(...) The only way to get around the authentication would be to get a Lugnet membership and post through the web interface. The authentication was put into place when somebody decided to impersonate another user and post through the newsgroup, (...) (22 years ago, 22-Jan-03, to lugnet.people.newbie)

  Quitting is hard to do

I'm finally quitting my job in New York after 8 years. For the past two years I've been trying to get out. Now I have the opportunity to do the exact same job, only in Milwaukee, which is where my home is now anyway. And I'm looking forward to doing (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jan-03, to lugnet.people)

  Re: Coolest LEGO Experience?

I don't know that I can pick out a single "coolest" experience, but here's a sample. I've had tons of fun at various fests around the country. Meeting a bunch of people who thought I was in my 20's or 30's (when I was actually 17) at Mindfest in (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jan-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people)
