Has anyone looked into this for making custom parts: (URL) It looks like pretty good stuff and could be a fairly cheap way to turn out medium-sized batches of hard plastic parts. Of course the tricky bit is making the mold... I haven't thought of a (...) (21 years ago, 26-Aug-04, to lugnet.parts)

(...) I agree. One note, this may be suited for parts.custom rather than just parts. Jason, who responded elsewhere in the thread has a fair bit of experience with .stl files for parts now, I think... (...) It might work, depending on what you are willing to pay for parts. Also it's worth noting that someone with access to a cad program would have to help, converting .dat files to .stl can make ugly .stl files. I've had experience with (URL) this (...) If I wanted to get started with LEGO pneumatics, how would I go about it? A search at the S@H site turned up no hits in the parts or kits, and even Dacta seems to have only one kit: (URL) ...which might be OK, but it's pretty limited, and contains a (...) (URL) was looking at the pieces just to the right of the 1x1 transparent cylindrical plate that faces front as the light. [I'm guessing the 1x1 sticks into the hole of a 1x1 Technic brick, like the Santa Fe?] They look somewhat like the angle/shape (...) (21 years ago, 16-Aug-04, to lugnet.parts)

I had hoped it was going to be just a little hiccup, but I had hedged and gather lights/plates/you name it when ever they had them on sale, enough for my plans, but never imagined they would wipe the 'concept of lighting' out, but it sure looks that (...) (...) Have you found a new supply of these parts! As far as I can tell, TLC is steadily withdrawing support for the 9v electrical parts. And I would recommend the following be added to your list as well Electric plates - 5037 that way you can more easily hide things, the wires work but it's hard to sometimes hide them (21 years ago, 11-Aug-04, to lugnet.parts, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

I'm looking to add some simple electronics to my LEGO layouts -- a porch light here, a motorized gizmo there, nothing fancy. I don't want to invest in a train set just yet.
