HELP needed with non-functioning 1x2 light brick! —Samarth Moray
(Not sure exactly where this should go) I have an old (say about 7-8 years old) electric light and sound brick 1 x 2 with top lamp that has never given me trouble until now. I tried clearing the muck off the contacts, rearranging it in various ways, (...) (19 years ago, 4-Feb-05, to lugnet.parts, lugnet.storage, lugnet.general)

(...) This may seem obvious, but if you're using a wire to connect it to a battery box, is it the wire? Does the battery box work properly? Does the battery itself work? Try checking out those parts too. -Bryan (19 years ago, 4-Feb-05, to lugnet.parts, lugnet.storage, lugnet.general)

(...) Yes, yes, I tried those things too. I have another bulb of the same age from the same set on the other end of my loco, powered by the same battery box, and it's working just fine.         Re: HELP needed with non-functioning 1x2 light brick! —Geoffrey Hyde
If it's a non-functional bulb, I'd think this would be an ideal opportunity to experiment with it and take it apart, to see if you can fit in a new lightbulb. It shouldn't be that difficult to accomplish. Perhaps you can even redesign it so it takes (...) (19 years ago, 5-Feb-05, to lugnet.parts, lugnet.storage, lugnet.general)

(...) AAA...AAAHHH...HHH! I shouldve mentioned I'm a purist! (pukes) But I guess I wouldn't mind taking it apart to FIX it.... Though for that I'd like to be sure that there was no other way to fix the bulb first... A last resort type thing. (...) (...)
