  Library Display

As some of you know we were asked to do a display at the library in July. The lady from the Library called me the other day and asked if that was still on for us. I told her that I wouldn't know until we had discussed it as a group. She needs an (...) (24 years ago, 10-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.richlug)

(...) I'd be up for participating in this. Right now I only have a few MOC's that are put together - 2 of them are each the size of 1 large gray baseplate - the Brick House of Horrors and the ABC Club (bar scene with rock band). I also have my Zany (...) (24 years ago, 10-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.richlug)

  Re: Library Display (vs. BrickFest)

(...) Something that occurred to me after my previous post is that July is when BrickFest is happening up in No. VA. It might come down to a choice of whether to display MOC's at the libraray for the whole month or have them available for showing (...) (24 years ago, 11-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.richlug)

  Re: Library Display (vs. BrickFest)

(...) A thought for how to decide. If you have items which don't have a lot of interior or operational details, especially if pictures do a good job of showing the item, put those on display at the library, and bring the items which have interior (...) (...) [snipped a part] (...) I had the same problem when I did a display in our library. I figured that the largest amount of people who visit are in the 'random strangers' category so I needed something to catch their interest[1]. I filled two (...) (...) snippity snip of previous stuff.. (...) Rich mentioned that they requested something "space" oriented. We definitely need to know if they want that as the only theme. Hopefully not.   Re: Library Display (vs. BrickFest)

The Library doesn't want just space thank goodness. I like your idea greg. A some what middle of theroad futuristic theme may be good for our display, it will make it easy for people to contribute the display and not intrude so much on what we want (...)   Re: Library Display (vs. BrickFest)

This sounds good to me. I think that way everyone will have something that fits. I don't have a number for that particular dept, but I do have a customer relations number. I am sure we could get through to someone through them. I got to them through (...) (24 years ago, 13-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.richlug)

  Re: Library Display (vs. BrickFest)

I'm glad that they do not just want a "space" theme display. I was thinking that a multi-theme display that crossed several "timelines" could be really neat. The "edges" of each theme display could blend together (kind of like the Bill and Mary Idea (...) (24 years ago, 13-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.richlug)
