But it was also such a neat sight to have multiple K-8 sized boxes worth of

Sure, go fill up a bin!

Great stuff, great pictures - looks like a really awesome project.  I hope to
see it in person someday!

I just wanted to make a quick comment on the part I quoted -- People just don't
realize how amazingly cool it is to have enough bricks for a *large* project.
Being able to grab handfuls of pieces and not worrying about running out.  Not
having to cut corners thinking "no one will see this part, we'll use a different
color in there".  Being able to build big without worrying about things
collapsing under their own weight, because you've got enough pieces for the
structural support...

Word of caution?  It gets *really* addicting having those quantities of bricks
to play with!!  <grin>

Now, if we could only convince LEGO to sell true "bulk" quantities to the
general public...

(...) Sunday was also lots of fun-- we had fewer people there, and finished up somewhere around 9pm instead of the projected 7pm -- building was just way too fun I suppose. At the end of the weekend, we pretty much completed about 4 buildings (I (...) (20 years ago, 18-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)
