thanks for all of  your super positive welcomes.

Judging by the overwhelming amount of feedback I received to this most
ungratious request, I'm guessing that your super freindly club is closed for
new membership?

I'm sorry that your post went unanswered for a week.  Unfortunately, many posts
in many different Lugnet venues slip by under the radar; sometimes this means a
reply is late in coming, while other times it means that a deserving post never
gets replied to at all without additional reminders.  It can definitely be
frustrating.

That being said, jumping to an ultra-cynical passive aggressive message
probably wasn't the ideal followup.  A more palatable tact might have been to
simply restate your question, with a little more background information - who
you are, where you live, what areas of LEGO you're interested in, and so on.  I
did a quick check, and only found postings from you from the last 2 weeks -
were you lurking prior to then?  Are you familiar at all with NELUG?  I'm not
asking these as accusations, simply as items of general interest that might
have put your request in a context that would promote a reply.

And with *that* being said, we always welcome new members over the age of 18.
We all share an enduring passion for LEGO, and it is always gratifying to find
new people who share the interest.  We typically meet in Waltham, MA, as that
is pretty centrally located for the majority of the members.  Additionally, it
has the advantage of being the home of one of New England's best LEGO stores,
the Construction Site, as well as a variety of restaurants (some of which can
accomodate large MOCs).

You also might want to check out www.nelug.org for more information about the
club.

Apologies again for the delay.  Please don't take it personally, as we're all
in the same boat, trying to fit our hobby in around the rest of our lives.

OK lets see if we can decide on a meeting more than 2 days in advance...

I was thinking mid September, something like the week of the 16th. • Personally
the Tuesday the 17th would probably be best for me but any day that week • should
be good.  It has been a while since I made a meeting so I am itching to • talk
shop again.

I am also itching for a train show and hopefully a new project for me • that
I
could finish by the next one.

Eric.
