With regard to the shrinking question: I found 3 logos of the B & M-- one of which was an actual silohuette: (URL) even if the lines couldn't stand up to miniaturization, the silohuette version could be employed instead. If the minifig's face were made more visible, I think people - even non-AFOLs - would be more apt to recognize it as being LEGO. These look like a lot of fun!
