Re: Large (!) Lego collection available in SE Mass

In lugnet.org.us.nelug, Freight Freitas writes: I'm curious, is this all about buying for NELUG, or buying for ourselves too? It sounds like there could be a number of goodies that my future models could benefit from, and I want to be clear of the (...) (23 years ago, 22-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

(...) I'd be interested in taking parts. I mean, taking part. In the work. Yeah, that's what I meant. eric (23 years ago, 22-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Large (!) Lego collection available in SE Mass

I would definitly be interested too. I also live right next door to Foxboro. So I could go over with my digital if he doesn't mind. Where is this spreadsheet? Does anyone have a copy yet? Evil Wayne (...) (23 years ago, 22-May-01, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Large (!) Lego collection available in SE Mass

I'd also be interested in this .... I'm not sure I can make it there in person to view the contents, but I could satisfy my curiosity if someone would take a bunch of digital camera photos of the collection, and with the excel sheet. Do we have any (...) (23 years ago, 22-May-01, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Large (!) Lego collection available in SE Mass

(...) I would strongly caution you not to plan to recover costs. Of course with an entire group, the detective/rebuilding work may go faster (interesting experiement) than has been my experience with smaller consortiums. Go in assuming you will add (...)   Re: Large (!) Lego collection available in SE Mass

Hey, it's The NELUG Museum of Ancient LEGO!! :-D I'd be very interested in going in on this, but it would take some time for me to get funds together. It would actually be easier for me to pay my share in unopened sets.. but then someone would have (...) (23 years ago, 22-May-01, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Large (!) Lego collection available in SE Mass

I'll go take a look. I don't know how much I'll be able to contribute, since the wife put the kibitz on my lego spending, but if I can convince her that I can sell some and get my money back, she may go for it. Let me know (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Large (!) Lego collection available in SE Mass

Is there anyone in NELUG that would be interested in going in as a group and checking this out. Then if we decided to purchase it as a group it could be fun to divy it out amongst the participants or even putting the sets back together and putting (...)   Re: Barriers for GATS

(...) Oh sorry, I thought you pushed him ;-). I guess the girl that nearly lost a couple fingers when they got run over probably wasn't your fault either. Just remember your train hasn't crashed once with me at the controls. As soon as you put your (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: Barriers for GATS

I believe that you are forgetting the time the kid put his head on the track and the train hit him in the face!!! How could that one have possibly been my fault? (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Summer LEGO Truck Tour:LoM

I wanted to mention that this summer's Lego truck tour with a Life on Mars theme is going to be at Faneuil Hall June 23rd and 24th. Apparently the exhibits will all be space themed and I had heard there would be a large recreation of the space (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.loc.us.ma)

  Re: Barriers for GATS

(...) (Crossposted to .org.us.nelug for archive purposes) Here is a quick suggestion that NELUG has considered for making our own posts that is actually relatively cheap. (Note: we have not done this yet because many of us, myself included, like the (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: Meeting theme building?

(...) I like the idea of an Amusement park or Big Top. It has something for everyone. Animals, moving rides, buidings/tents, and maybe even a circus train. If the models come out nice, we might be able to use them for the train show. Jonathan D. (23 years ago, 20-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: BrikWars: SteamPunk

(...) Yes, they did- the new Star Wars RPG is already out. It's by Wizards of the Coast/TSR, and it's compatible with the D20 system (ie, AD&D 3rd Edition). (...) I think they got bought out by a French company. I think. But I thought they were (...) (23 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: BrikWars: SteamPunk

(...) I thought WEG had the StarWars RPG licence, have they bollocksed that? Unusually for an RPG publishing house, they're not on the web (least not as West End Games). In any case the Space 1889 franchise has been passed to heliograph games (URL) (...) (23 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: BrikWars: SteamPunk

(...) Space: 1889 was indeed a victorian space-travel game. It's fairly applicable, although I don't think it was widely played and info about it might be hard to find- especially since West End Games, the company that produced it, hasn't been doing (...)   Re: BrikWars: SteamPunk

(...) The plan was to play the medieval game on whichever date it was, and then play the 1800's sci-fi game at an unspecifid future date, to allow everyone to build stuff for the game. eric (23 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: Photos from 3/17/01 Brikwars?

(URL) is not an active site. It was experimental, in preparation for a future article about BrikWars itself (why I was talking to Mike). I assume you want pics from fig's-eye-view. I don't have many, but take any you want. Don't link to them on my (...) (23 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)
