Re: A lil' Mountain with10 Tunnel Portals

(...) I'm sure my wife can empathise with that! Our dining table is covered with Lego. I was building 48x48 modules on the table but fitting them together takes up the whole table! It is better to have a large flat surface for building on the big (...) (19 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.org.us.indylug, FTX)

Re: A lil' Mountain with10 Tunnel Portals

(...) I agree awesome work, highlighted for sure. My biggest problem with large scluptured modules is not where to store them but having the room to build them. My LEGO room isn't big enough for me to keep a few modules setup over a long period of (...) (19 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.org.us.indylug, FTX)

Re: A lil' Mountain with10 Tunnel Portals

Hi Brian, Awesome, awesome! Great job on this, the use of bridges and retaining walls, etc... I love how we (L-gaugers) are getting more and more sophisticated about our layouts. Of course we all know that GMLTC has been sculpting layouts for ever (...) (19 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.org.us.indylug, FTX)

Re: A lil' Mountain with10 Tunnel Portals

(...) I really like the multiple levels. I think train displays have continuously become larger and larger on two dimensions, but adding height (apart from really tall buildings) is something that we should all aim for. Having built mountains and (...) (19 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.org.us.indylug)

A lil' Mountain with10 Tunnel Portals

Here's a sneak peek at the mountain module I'm making for IndyLUG/Central Indiana LTC's display at this years Children's & Parents Expo Feb 19,20 & 21 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. There are three train loops and the lower two can run (...) (19 years ago, 3-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.org.us.indylug) !!

Re: GATS 8-9 jan, 2005, great model

(...) As Brian Darrow said, I took the photos at the GATS show, but I have no idea who made the MOC. I'm posting this to the IndyLUG newsgroup - hopefully whoever did it will claim his share of glory for creating it.. :) When I first saw it, I (...)   IndyLUG BrickQuest Game

At our November meeting, IndyLUG put together and played the Brickquest game created by Peter Guenther. I put together the dungeon and "Brick-Mastered" (my first time at running any sort of fantasy/RPG game). Players included David Gregory, John (...)   Re: BrickQuest at December meeting

(...) I call dibs on playing a human cleric character. I think it would be a good idea if everyone who is planning on paying BrickQuest at the meeting to post what their character is going to be. That way we won't end up with every one of us coming (...) (20 years ago, 11-Dec-04, to lugnet.org.us.indylug, FTX)

  December meeting
