Dear SciBrick members,

I was asked to join SciBrick after slightly helping out with the Houston
Rendevous event.  While my name was never mentioned on the website for helping,
most likely because I, in fact, did not in any way participate with the event, I
was happy to be offered membership.

However, recently I sat down and read the rules and policies of SciBrick, and
I'm afraid I could not disagree with them more.  I feel they are far too anal
retentive, elitist and stifling to any sort of creativity.  I feel I cannot be
affiliated with an organization with such rules.

Beyond all of that, the SciBrick rules require that members be active, and due
to geographical, chonological and creative limitations, I'm afraid I cannot
comply with the rules.  The only reason I could be part of SciBrick is because
of my dragon MOCs, and they're not going to be around forever.  Once they're
gone all I'll have left are castles, which aren't fantasy based.

I am sorry but this is not up for discussion, my decision has been made.  I
would like to formally request that my membership be cancelled and my name be
removed from the SciBrick website.  I'm sorry if this is an inconvenience to
anyone.

Thanks,

--Anthony Sava

You opinions are valuable both to scibrick and to the AFOL community in general, so please share them. Meanwhile, First rule (...) (21 years ago, 14-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.scibrick)

(...) They're rules...rules always sound worse than they really are. (...) Respectfully, Anthony, I read the bylaws, too, and within those bylaws, I don't see it. It's possible you may feel left out in some way because the group, at this time, seems (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.scibrick)
