    Plexi ... again —Robin Sather
I really like the setup that MichLUG used in their layout at GATS this past weekend. Here's a good picture: (URL) used what looks like probably 1/8" plexi in a 2 x 2 grooved base. They've got different lengths of both base and plexi. If you look (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Plexi ... again —Robin Sather
Some more pictures. (URL) definitely stapled to the 2 x 2. Interesting that there is no top edge on the this segment, and that they've overlapped the two pieces. (URL) base is held on by some sort of black bracket. You can see two of them in the (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

(...) level area... heh heh. Plexi would sure be a nice 'piece of mind' insurance deal... Dean (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Plexi ... again —Jason Spears
(...) Actually I think the apparent overlay is an optical illision. There should be no way those pieces overlap with the bases so far apart. Also since there is no white lip, I am pretty sure this picture was taken during the setup on Friday. (...) (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Plexi ... again —Steve Bliss
(...) There is a white lip, it just looks gray in this picture. It's the gray stuff 'above' the monorail track. And there is no overlay, it's a gap. The ends of the plexi pieces are flush with their respective 2x2. Steve "picayune" Bliss (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Plexi ... again —Steve Bliss
(...) It's actually plexi sandwiched between lengths of 1x2(approx). The base and plexi are permanently attached, as per Larry's explanation. (...) Yep.
