I physically whimpered.  With Rob's clever 2-valve 1-output mechanism, this
seriously makes me want to get into pneumatics.

Could you please let me know what Rob's clever mechanism is?  I'm very into
pneumatics and have a few 2-vavle 12-output mechanisms of my own.

What I meant is, he uses one RCX output and one RCX input to control two
separate valves (thus two cylinders).  It's VERY good.  So easily with 1 RCX
you can do 6 cylinders with ease.

http://www.ecf.utoronto.ca/~stehlik/projX.html  (linked to ecf because
sparky is giving me massive issues and I can't load the page - but you can
cilck Robots then eXpedite, and scroll to "valves".)

I have more than a fair chunk of video of Rob's machine in action... one of
these days I'll MPEGize it for him.

I thought you might have been talking about combining two switches to reduce the
off zone:

or eliminate it:

Doug Carlson came up with the geometry for the "no off".  I modified it to
reduce the off zone.
