  Re: rtlToronto/train1 issues etc

Just wondering… Do we have any sorta plans or rough draft for the entire layout? I've seen lots of work go into other LUG group’s displays, with concrete outlines and partitioning of sections. I myself have no train parts, but I've got lots of town (...) (24 years ago, 2-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

I think now that there are some "concrete" parameters...Calum booked the room....Way to Go Calum!!!.....(we know how much room we have to work with) I think we need first to find out exactly who is going to be exhibiting (displaying) their (...) (...) Whoa! You guys are *paying* to exhibit trains??? !!! You're in the wrong venue!!! Train exhibits should be at shows where you get *paid* to be there. They are a huge draw at the for profit shows, and they will pay you for the help (I do (...) (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.trains.org)

(...) Well said Iain....this is really my first "public" display/get-together, and I am not that interested in setting up a major display/exhibit for a regular train show. Benjamin Medinets (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

(...) Sorry, it's pretty commonly used around here so I didn't define it. FUT == Follow Up To. It's in the LUGNET(1) FAQ(2) I think. HTH. (3) YMMV. (4) PS(5) - please note the FUT is now to OTF (6). (...) That's something I'm not sure we're really ready for, but it's certainly something on our mind. (...) Hi Lar, I think we're not doing a train show per se - what we're doing is having a playing-with-Lego get together at a rented venue so we have enough space.   Re: rtlToronto/train1 issues etc

Hi, scanning all the threadposts here and, based on a wee bit of experience dealing with show hosts, I think it would be fair to say that the "value" of an LTC display depends on a few factors: 1. how specific the event is promoted 2. the ratio of (...)
