I really hate to keep going on about this. But I'm going to continue to do
so until someone can give me a good reason why we shouldn't be using the
Nation's (and worlds) unit of choice for arbitrary dimensions with no
specific bias.


because it is a unit of measure that MANY people feel comfortable with.

I am not going to try to force you to speak Esperanto, YET it would be
great if EVERYONE in the word spoke it.... it would be a happy place....

its all about comfort.  and as long as you can convert from on tot he
other then I see no problem.

besides its not like the unit 1" is not referenced anywhere.   you can
still get measuring devices that will tell you what one foot is.....
