Reading using the web interface (not HTML, HTTP) allows you to check back
and find previous messages. That I assume you were using a NNTP newsreader
which won't let you mark unread old messages (ie, whatever Dave had quoted)

Actually, nice work on all the robots, everyone! It's easy to cut when
there are great subjects on tape. BTW, 640x480x30 fps is WORSE than
320x240. it plays back smooth on the P3/750 Latitude at work, but the
problem is interlacing-the footage was digitized through interlaced hardware
(NTSC is interlaced) so on output to a progressive display (ie, a PC VGA
monitor), every other row is offset. 320x240 blurs this.
