Iain what are your thoughts on working it into a "group" build. we all agree on the end product. we assign who does what... and then we go and rent a library for the day and bring our parts and work. anyone? anyone?   Proposed Assembly Line Project

Hey everyone! I've been sort of "out of it" for quite a while. I came to the dinner last Friday, it was great to see everyone again! Here's a link to the video from Montech of their Montrac system I was talking about. It's pretty self-explanatory. (...) (18 years ago, 17-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

  Man of 101 voices

don't know how 'safe for work' the rest of the site is, but this video I found amusing-- (URL) of course, if you sit thru it all, you'll see the obligatory throw out to HR. Dave K -'cause it's 'Dot Commm...mmm......' (18 years ago, 16-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Any 4.5/12 volt train enthusiast interested in original 'rubbers'

That sounded dirty... Anyway, in the realm of 'Dave becomes a Collector', I recently won an eBay purchase-- (URL) told it's a train accessory kit from around '72. I bid on the auction for the box, basically, so there's some train bits 'n pieces that (...) (18 years ago, 16-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  {RTL} = x + 1

Some ideas were bantered around. Anyone have any idea as to when a nice day would be to gather at the new library to try our BUILD-A-THON? I think some time in Feb. the Sat's are 10, 17, and 24. if you go with 10. you BETTER not have a S/O I think (...) (18 years ago, 15-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: For a good home...

(...) At last night's dinner DaveK said he'd take it, but I have this suspicion Sandy would probably hate me forever if he actually took it. I need the desk space for a second matching Dell 2001fp. I guess this is my workout for this week...taking (...) (18 years ago, 13-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) ...or the trash if no one claims it. If that, then first strip the copper wires out of it, which you can sell to make $$ to spend on LEGO, since the copper market's really up there. Just be careful of zapification. (18 years ago, 13-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

X-Mods on sale at Radio Shack

I'm not into them, nor do I know anything about them, but I remember a discussion a long while back about these 'X-Mod' thingies--glorified 'Snap-Together' motorized cars and such.   Re: Newfound growth or splintering the existing base?

(...) I see what you mean by it, although I don't agree. By that line of thinking, BrickFest 2006 (held in a different venue, organized by different people, and more of an expo than a convention) wasn't an "original" BrickFest either. So there (...)   Re: Newfound growth or splintering the existing base?

(...) Sorry Kelly, but there is not going to be a BrickFest 2007. BrickFest PDX is not a replacement to the original Washington D.C. version. In 7 consecutive years of having a AFOL convention in the Metropolitan D.C. area, a convention that (...) (18 years ago, 11-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
