  R20 - The Mating Game

Re: R20 - The Mating Game

(...) ACTUALLY, this will be a nice simple way to "register" your willingness to enter this contest. IF you want to play, call your colour, and mail or post it here. if you DONT, or just show up on the day, you might be stuck with some UGLY assigned (...)   Re: R20 - The Mating Game

(...) I only hope that your bot full of red bricks won't resemble the "Sanitron Party Liner" - eeeeww, certainly dont want any of THAT in my hopper!! :-P I CALL BLUE!!. (19 years ago, 17-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: R20 - The Mating Game

(...) This should be a nice game to help get more beginners into the group. Instead of a 2x4 brick, could people use 3 2x4 plates? That will greatly expand the number of possible colors. Have fun. Steve (19 years ago, 17-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: R20 - The Mating Game

(...) How will the robots be able to find each other? Are we gona use light sensors or lights to show where the "hopper" is? I call YELLOW. Can we use different tiles because I dont think that I have enough tiles of any colour? (Unless someone can (...) (19 years ago, 17-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: R20 - The Mating Game

(...) hhmmmmm. Call me dense but I don't get it. Is there some sort of communication (IR) that the bots need to use? Or is this supposed to be a mechanical type affair? I would assume that two bots would have to "come together" somehow but can't (...) (19 years ago, 17-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: R20 - The Mating Game

(...) OK we have a problem. Dave caled White FIRST on rtl. and i dont recal who caled white first at dinner. so we can settle this in one of 2 ways. 1. cage match. 2.   Re: R20 - The Mating Game

(...) I say we need to call in a Steering Committee. We need some standards and practices! Ah screw it. I'll be grey. Regular grey. Come to think of it, I really don't want white anyways. Spittle? Oatmeal? Calum (19 years ago, 18-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
