Yep, mine too, maybe. I haven't checked if it fits in the 8" box, but it might
on an angle. However, it definately will fit in a 9" box (if that counts for
anything), so it's not too much bigger. In the first version of my robot, I just
built it to work, not caring about the size. Then I spent time trying to figure
out how to "economize" how I did things, and I found that approach worked pretty
good.

(...) The attitude has always been, the 8" is a rule, but we'd rather have you at the event with a robot than have you not at the event, with a working bot sitting on a shelf. Well on Monday night I had a chance to finish building my bot :) It is a tad bigger the the 8" allotment, but you try using those skinny motorcycle wheels (the ones that come in the mindstorms kit) to sit side by side and still have enough space for (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
