Hey Rob,
We're going with the 8x8 field, not the 4x4.
I dunno how smooth the joint is on the 8x8--I think the center part is good
'casue it's got the piano hinge under it, but out to the edges, where there's no
hinge, there's a bit of a lip. See if someone in the group has access to gaffer
tape, or some other tape type substance that might be suitable for the job.
Oh that reminds me--are the corners actually painted on the 8x8 for the starting
squares?
