Apparently my poetry is too cryptic for some, so I will explain.....
As you know, onomatopoeia is a word that imitates the sound it
represents......... So my reference to "onomonopoetic"....I felt, granted me,
the poetic licence to pronounce babbling..... like bab-ble-ing..... to give it
more presence with in the written piece. I wish I could *really* take credit
for that word though.
Of course, that post is just a total cop out for me actually pronouncing
"babbling" with an extra syllable when speaking out loud. Apparently, I like to
do with lots of words, more then likely because the longer it takes to say a
word, the more I can focus on the sound of my own voice.
In a moment of devious thinking, I was going to try to see if I could get anyone to fall for the fact that a dropped vowel while being replaced with "ing" should actually still be pronounced as its own syllable, but I knew this wouldn't fly with a group that has google at their fingertips. Of course, careful and in depth research that sucked up at least 3 minutes of my life taught me that its quite commonly accepted to not follow the 5 7 5 rule anyway. Of course, if I wouldn't have taken all the time to research, I never would have realised that "strengths" is quite an interesting word, having only one vowel but 4 syllables...... how cool is that????
Can this be anymore off topic for lego, but more on topic for the post title?? I
think not.
mmmmmmmm Full circle.
