  Re: final rules.

(...) Yes, as was Operation Free Beverage. Good one, Chris. Just short of being slightly obnoxious, but at least we got free drinks :) (...) And you're not used to spelling either :) (...) I'm working on it. (...) Yeah, I think we're going to have (...) (21 years ago, 13-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: final rules.

(...) And what have you been smoking? If you really think you can come up with some way to make this happen... well, good luck. If I can't win it myself, I'd do whatever I can to make sure Rob does... Steve H. "Steve is way smarter than me." - Chris (21 years ago, 13-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: final rules.

(...) Can I tell my bot if it's playing black or red then? Or is it supposed to be able to look at the chips in it's hand and figure that out? Dan (current algorithm version C.2.10, with some thoughts of B and D still floating around) (21 years ago, 13-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: final rules.

(...) Actually, I convinced Wayne and then he paid his daughter to do it (Wayne, you might want to reflect on setting this kind of precedent…or as chris would say ‘presidint’ ). BTW, she didn’t cry, she was just a little shy when the whole table (...) (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  final rules.

the dinner was a HUGE success. BRUCE was a MEAN s.o.b. and convinced waynes very shy daughter (about 5 yrs old) to walk up to me, and say "hey misters......" well, she did, and the poor girl burst into tears. I guess she is not used to lieing. (...) (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  live3 Smackdown-any takers

Hey guys, There was talk of a live3 8475 RC Racer smackdown at Hobby Show. I know I heard from Ivan as to interest. Is there anyone else? Followup to this thread. Calum (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: C$ board design

Here's the board mounting I came up with. (URL) made with parts from a single kit. But if you only have a single RIS, you'll only be able to make one board mount, and that won't leave any 1x16 beams for your robot... The top beam will flip down and (...)   Re: C$ board design

(...) Well, personally, I'm not sure if it's more "classy" to drive a few screws through the legs of a Connect-4 board, a piece of wood, and a LEGO base-plate. :) But I agree it does change the rules of the game a little bit. However, using the (...) (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: C$ board design

Using a non-standard board makes it a lot easier, since the primary challenge (as I've seen it) has been building a tower that rolls back and forth but is set back from the board enough that the legs don't interfere with it. I think it would be (...) (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: C$ board design

(...) He's probably just overstated his idea a little. Obviously the board can't be mounted permanently into one of the robots. However you can build a mount to connect to the common board to your robot. Derek (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
