Re: Don't move I dropped a brick on the floor....

(...) I think those guys are freaks from some other planet. Clearly they have access to some sort of "super battery technology" that the rest of use can not access. LOOK, I have a few motors -- much like project X. (over 8) and if my robot is (...) (21 years ago, 24-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Don't move I dropped a brick on the floor....

(...) This is bound to be a multiple RCX contest. Having to keep fresh batteries for testing and the actual events is a pain (sometimes access to the RCX can be difficult). We could say that if you are having a contest with a robot that does (...) (21 years ago, 24-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Don't move I dropped a brick on the floor....

(...) Yeah, sure you do. I won't take the excuse you can't afford the batteries, that's too lame. But if there's a good excuse, ie, you need the power/current, then that's another story. Bruce and you complain about AC power every contest. What do (...) (21 years ago, 24-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) I like that...... and since calum is at a wedding, I have his voting shares..... :) Chris Steve, see how this is done? 8 hours and bugbear free (21 years ago, 24-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Don't move I dropped a brick on the floor....

(...) Finally, some talk about robots! I too wouldn't mind using AC power. How about if we say that the power cord can only extend directly from the side of the playfield to your robot and that you can't drag any part of the cord into the rice area. (...)   Don't move I dropped a brick on the floor....

So, my plan was to spend ALL day working on the robot. (Bruce, the lego robot stuff is 2 or 3 paragraphs down) until, I fired up the trusty SUPERCOMPUTER (tm) and played a few legal copies of ripped CD's from my personal collection....... when low (...)   Re: lego joystick controller

(...) Here's one by Jennifer Clark (URL) that's mostly for pnuematics, but i guess could be adapted for electrics. ROSCO (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  lego joystick controller

Hey Chris- I have an idea on building a lego controller for my crane project, and I was wondering if you could give me a few tips on how to go about it, IE wiring. (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Walker Sumo Revisited.

(...) yoru (...) By the way, it would be perfectly possible to make a vehicle that can go 300 km/h with an engine from a Tercel. Iain (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Walker Sumo Revisited.

(...) yoru (...) SHUT UP!!!...!!! I'll have you know that "Tercel" means "Male Hawk." I drive a butch car. NYA. Accord means like, "friendly love". Want some stick-on bathtub flowers for your rear bumper? Iain (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Drew Carey

(...) Not really. That's just the most visible/vocal audience. Males 18-25 are the general audience, regardless of social status. Or at least that's how it was in the Glory Days of the early 90's. In the mid-90's local syndication-stations started (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Drew Carey

(...) Maybe before Babylon 5, but the only Trek that even began to compare was DS9. Everything else was Status Quo Trek. And Voyager was Status Quo Trek with at least two seasons riddled with Bad Hair-liens. (...) Yup, I knew that. As I said, (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Once in Mexico

Hey y'all- Any of you guys gonna see Once Apon A Time In Mexico when it comes out? Or the new one with Dwayne Johnson and Sean William Scott? (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Walker Sumo Revisited.

(...) Well, I was never a fan of the idea of walker sumo. It's an interesting idea, but I've never seen a good excuse for a walking robot that wasn't other than for the novelty of the entire affair. Research (ie, Mars explorers) or entertainment (...) (21 years ago, 22-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: photos

Ben- The dinner was moved to the restaurant right next door. This was due to the blackout last weekend. I will scan the photos, and I'll post them (probably on Brickshelf). (21 years ago, 22-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: photos

(...) 1. Are you going to post them? 2. Wasn't the dinner at Swiss Chalet?? I couldn't go last weekend because I had to work. Actually, since last Friday, I was only off on Saturday. Ben (21 years ago, 22-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Chris- What are these lego gifts? Personally I prefer aquiring any of the past 20 years' worth of lego technic sets a gift. (21 years ago, 22-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
