Re: Lowered Table for the Round House.

Hey Calum, The Base for the Turn table is 4 bricks deep. The brackets sound like a good Idea. Jeff (waiting for my 950 2 x 4 bricks) (...) (23 years ago, 27-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  little bored at work today

you may have noticed i had some time on my hands today... so i decided to put some of that time to good use and i generated a listing of (most of ) the sets i own. dunno why you'd be interested, but if you are... see the list o' dave's lego here: (...)   Re: another question from the dopey one

(...) hummm, this is VERY odd. I just got a spectrum catalogue in the mail about 5 days ago.... And all lego is listed between pg. 176 and 197??? As well, the technology resource set (part # 89609) lists for $334.50 and the robolab starter system. (...) (23 years ago, 26-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

another question from the dopey one

in the spectrum catalog i have, there are 2 sets i'm interested in... and i have to make a choice. so here's the stats on both technology resource set (p 126) 1733 pcs, 1 9 v 'old' motor, batt box, pneumatic pcs, etc. - $306.75 robolab starter (...)   polarity switches

After being scared by Chris that I would never be able to find any polarity switches... ;P I found some! en route to my house right now are four (4) switches. It took a call to Spectrum, then to LEGO Canada, and they tracked down some from the (...) (23 years ago, 26-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: steering at Rtl 8

(...) I thought it was called a 'synchro' base. Anyway, yes, very cool. I tried building one without the turntables, but I lost my motivation.   Re: Pneumatic Concept

(...) I think Chris is right... about 4 complete cycles of a large cylinder is the best you will get with one air tank. I'm not sure if that doubles with two air tanks... If you use one of the tiny cylinders, it lasts *forever*. I guess you need as (...) (23 years ago, 26-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Music at Train1?

(...) It's not so much a question of how open or what kind, but whether it's appropriate for the Library. I think it's safer not to for now. There'll be little time to listen to music if everything goes as planned! Calum (23 years ago, 26-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Music at Train1?

How open are people to the idea of bringing a sound system so we can listen to music at train1? Who likes trance? <raises hand> (mmm, Buuren, Tiesto, Corsten , Darey... *wimpers*) Iain (23 years ago, 26-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Lowered Table for the Round House.

(...) Depends on how the turntable/roundhouse is being built. The original idea I had was that we'd find a square of plywood, and hang it with brackets from the two tables on each side. Then we'd build up from the plywood (perhaps a few bricks deep (...) (23 years ago, 26-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Lowered Table for the Round House.

Hi Guys, Just our of Curosity how are we going to support a lowered table portion? I'm afraid that if we leave this issue to the may 18th dinner there may not be a lot of time to plan things. Jeff (23 years ago, 26-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
