Re: Should I upgrade to RIS 2.0?

(...) correct. (...) clearly you just need to be told what to do. so, lets try again. 1. get the latest SDK from lego (see other posts) 2. instal it in the brick. 3. use the original lego windows GUI for your son to program bots, 4. YOU use NQC to (...) (21 years ago, 27-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Hilarity ensues

(URL) sorry, but this is the most hilarious thing I have EVER SEEN. BTW, I saw a thing about a robotics event in Kitchener-Waterloo! Kids were using Mindstorms to explore the exciting world of robotics. Excellent! I think they were at RIM Park. Iain (21 years ago, 26-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Oh come on, you two. ANY fast train is, by definition, beautiful, at least in my book. I'll grant you that some are more beautiful than others but there are **NO** ugly 200 kph+ trains. :-) (21 years ago, 24-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Blah. (...) :-) space. I'm watching the videos on this page right now: (URL) very cool stuff. I did my 8th grade science project on maglev trains ... wow that was a long time ago. -Tim (21 years ago, 24-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Oops. Atlantique and Thalys - Eurostar is OK, but not compared to the ICE. (...) This one? (URL) the one I like. I like the spaceship look! :-) (...) Interesting -- got a clip? Why are they advertising the Germain trains in Canada? -Tim (21 years ago, 24-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: John Goodman on WW

(...) The Thalys PBKA only. The older Thalys is basically the PSE or A trainset with different colours and I think modification for triservice power. I don't like them. The PBKA is the Duplex nose profile. I'm okay with the Eurostar too. I have (...) (21 years ago, 24-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: John Goodman on WW

(...) Now how's that for a new round of Calum-Ball? Eurostar and Thalys PBKA ROCK. Seeing as I just got off a Eurostar less than two hours ago. Down with the TGV PSE and TGV-A! No dents in the power unit nose profile! Calum (21 years ago, 24-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Should I upgrade to RIS 2.0?

(...) I'm not really sure how the PC based software works, but I know no one in our group uses it. Everyone is either NQC, LeJOS or ATL script... Calum (21 years ago, 24-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
