  Re: mmm, Star Wars

(...) Actually, if this set is as good as it looks in the pictures it will probibly be one of those sets I'll never dismantle. The price per piece is pretty good with this set too. About 9 cents/piece US. So it may be expencive, but its got a lot of (...) (22 years ago, 6-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: NWBrickCon in the news

(...) I received my first LEGO set for my 3rd birthday, that was 1965. LEGO sets were being imported by Samsonite back then - LEGO the company started their U.S. operations around 1973, perhaps that's what the article was refering to. Great article, (...)   Re: NWBrickCon in the news

(...) Yes. I too (as David S does) once in a while indulge in a little one upmanship, since I lived in Ontario for 1.5 years, my earliest bricks are vintage 1967, obtained at the Simpson Sears. One of the many reasons I loved living in Canada for a (...) (22 years ago, 6-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Lego at Dixie Value Mall

Thanks for info Calum! As for a connection between the stores, I believe there is one. There is a Toy Planet store at the St Jacobs outlet, along with the Bricks and Blocks store, which I believe is owned by the same person. Kevin (...) (22 years ago, 5-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: NWBrickCon in the news

(...) This article also says that LEGO bricks were not sold in the US until '73... Is this true? I did not know that. One of the *many* reasons I love being Canadian. My mom has a pic of me pre 1970 at Christmas, sitting beside a LEGO set my brother (...) (22 years ago, 5-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Walmart Clearance Deals...

(...) Just to follow up (and I did get some e-mail from at least one interested member), in my newspaper, I got a Walmart advertizing with the exact sets. They have the complete line of Dino Adventure sets on Clearance (must have been a bulk (...) (22 years ago, 5-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: mmm, Star Wars

(...) nice. Congrats Derek. A superhuge grey parts pack is cool, but not for $500 CDN. Also, I am pretty well at max. capacity (at least in my bedroom). Actually, in waiting until December, you will develop some patience, and when it arrives you'll (...) (22 years ago, 5-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: NWBrickCon in the news

(...) in the article it mentions David Schilling and Waterloo, Ontario (where Dave graduated from). Just thought I would x-post this here. I am sure that it will be nearly impossible for most if any of our members will be attending. Looks like it (...) (22 years ago, 5-Oct-02, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
