(...) The 1x2 brick has never been more central -- over 25% of the pieces are 1x2s. This is the best year for basic sets since 1998. -Erik (22 years ago, 9-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: The Grande Robotic Experiment Continues...

(...) How 'bout something a little simpler--I could try to do a turtle'bot (like Rob's) and put a marker in it. I can get my hands on big pieces of paper, and then you guys can write to your hearts content :) I'll keep that in mind when this block (...) (22 years ago, 9-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: I saw a SMART car yesterday....

(...) Funny you mention this, because Chris' brother just bought a Mini to advertise the Maaco shop he runs. It's very catchy-navy blue and will be covered with Maaco logos! Calum (22 years ago, 9-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) There's been one at Cloverdale Mall in the Bell World store for over a year now. I even got to sit in it. But no one drives it around. Calum (22 years ago, 9-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: [rtlToronto] September Dinner at Mel's (CHANGED)

  The Grande Robotic Experiment Continues...

The webcam'bot has (mostly) been up for a few weeks straight now. (URL) people have logged in and tried it, and have e-mailed me a few suggestions--most of which I have implemented. The biggest improvement is the grabbing mechanism--now it's pretty (...) (22 years ago, 9-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.vc)

I saw a SMART car yesterday....

So I was driving down the 401 yesterday afternoon (near young street) and I passed a Smart with the Telelatino (TLN) logo on the side! Has any one else seen one in toronto, is this the first? will there be more? Jeff VW (22 years ago, 9-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

[rtlToronto] September Dinner at Mel's (CHANGED)

Hey folks, A change of plans to accommodate those interested in going to the TSME meeting: We'll be meeting up for dinner at 6 at Mel's instead of Swiss Chalet. Mel's is a lot closer to the TSME meeting, which is at 8 pm. So, see you at Mel's (...) (22 years ago, 9-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Proposal for Altenburg station

I like this station idea, I think it would be really cool. If you want more space to clear the switchs, the east cross over can be moved three track lengths further into my space. I don't mind if we do this, because I have nothing planed for the (...) (22 years ago, 8-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Altenburg Line Clearance

(...) This is true, but it means low slung cars can't go through Altenburg, and for example I was thinking of making a street car. This would require a low doorway between the two trucks which would interfere if people encroached that extra stud to (...) (22 years ago, 8-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  TSME picnic

The annual TSME picnic is on this week-end. And you are invited. It's a bit of a hike out in Orono but you will see things that you don't normally see.   Re: I'm getting hungry

The start time is 8:00 PM so that could give you a chance to have two meetings. A possible problem though, is that there might not be any seats left if you get there that late. I am not real keen on the area so my suggestion would be to find good (...) (22 years ago, 5-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
