  Re: rtlToronto 11

8 inch robot. 24 inch gap. Maybe thats exaggerating, but it would certainly be more interesting to watch. I don't want to see prefab 12 inch bridges as Chris suggested. That would be dead boring. At least make the gap bigger than the robot so some (...) (22 years ago, 24-Apr-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: I think I love it!

Stunning. The report wasn't completely over my head, but mostly. I liked the explanation and background information. It makes sense that parallel mechanisms offer higher speed and flexibility in machining, but their downside is the funky work (...) (22 years ago, 24-Apr-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) <beaucoup de snippage> (...) mmmm.... that sounds great. One further stipulation about the size/gap... the 'bot must fit inside the gap. No overhang or nothing....just to make the contest interesting. Ben (22 years ago, 24-Apr-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) HI, welcome to the group. :) Geesh. If I had know that my laziness in posting "rules" to games would draw people out then I can sit and lurk forever.... well, not really. ;) Soon, I will get off my lazy butt and "finalize" the rules. I guess (...) (22 years ago, 24-Apr-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) 'Gratz on the new cpu Chris! Is it a nice sexy voice or is it like HAL9000? (...) The Hampster Dance!!!! Go fer it!!! I also want to note how a brand new P4 2Ghz has '98 on it! (...) Well, to accomodate for Johan, we'll aim for May 3rd. (...) For those of you who weren't there on Monday night (ie, all of you, since it was just me and Chris) Chris got a 2Ghz P4 PC which he has named the "SUPER COMPUTER" (pronounced (...) Hey there everyone, Long time lurker, first time poster... I have not seen any discussion lately about finalizing the rules for the proposed "Capture the Flag" event. Any developments to report? (22 years ago, 24-Apr-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Anyone looking for overhead crane container grabber assemblies?

(...) Well if it is indeed 2 to 3 weeks, I might be interested in maybe 1. I think I have 2 and 1 on the way. This "mechanism" comes not only in the 4555 set, but also in the 4549 Road n Rail Hauler set on the "large" crane. I have 1 4555 and 1 (...) (22 years ago, 24-Apr-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
