Re: Knew if I waited long enough...

(...) As much as I like the NXT...the Wii is awfully fun, especially at parties. Calum (18 years ago, 13-Feb-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Bravo - well done! I'm assuming this came from an "I got it as a Christmas present but would rather sell it and buy a Wii" individual.... :) -Rob A> (...) (18 years ago, 13-Feb-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Knew if I waited long enough...

I'd get an NXT for less money on eBay. Won a bid for an NXT for 181 US and a shipping charge of 25 bucks to Canada So total Canadian cost--240 that's about 100 bucks (without taxes) cheaper than retail. Go me! :) Dave K (18 years ago, 13-Feb-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) No, just generally slow--the photo album software I'm using tends to be slow at times. i know in a world where everything's delivered instantaneously that my little website seems tl take an eternity to load, but eh, it's free and we like it.   New LEGO digs!!!

For those of you that don't know, the Missus and Myself renovated (and are in the process of putting the final touches) the basement. Though not a 'Holmes on Homes' level of rebuilding and redoing, we think it turned out pretty well. Anyway, wthout (...) (18 years ago, 9-Feb-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

  Re: Strange pipe piece

(...) Search Peeron for "Duplo Tube" There were some in set 3619-1 -Rob A> (18 years ago, 9-Feb-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Strange pipe piece

(...) It's one of these: (URL) tubes came in some DUPLO sets a few years ago, with balls to roll through the tubes. They were pretty fun, in a preschool way. Those balls are the same balls found in the NXT kit. Steve (18 years ago, 9-Feb-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Notice the large blue pipe in the lower left corner? (URL) is this piece? Calum PS-this is one of my favourite Lego MOCs--Erik Brok is an awesome builder. (URL) (18 years ago, 9-Feb-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: R/C skid steer test

(...) Hi Rob, You might consider using the auxilary output of the RC to control a gear shifter to select between "driveable" and "mad spining" modes... Using the polarity switch is brilliant! I tried a pure mechanical solution (the steering (...) (18 years ago, 9-Feb-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.technic)

  Re: R/C skid steer test

(...) Oh yes! it can steer when going forward. With the current gearing though, it spins out. I should try to drive the adder/subtractor input with an 8-tooth gear rather than the current 24 to slow the turning rate down. Though I suppose I couldn't (...)   Re: R/C skid steer test

(...) Nice! Can it steer while also moving forward, or does the switch work with just a 3-position action (turn right/go straight/turn left)? Could you also use 3 12-tooth gears for the side opposite the 2 24-tooth gears, or did you use the 2 (...) (18 years ago, 6-Feb-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.technic)

  Re: Proposed Assembly Line Project

(...) Hahaha :) The advantages of using the monorail track are that it's very, very rigid laterally (like, it can really press into it without it deflecting at all) and simple to construct. It's a wide, flat surface... the 4.5 V rails I fear will (...) (18 years ago, 5-Feb-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

(...) Whoooohooo! That's me! I've been to Morgantown, West Virginia! (...) Okay, there's something off the bat I'm worried about, which is that you've built the track out of unobtanium, aka, monorail track. No one has any of it and it's more (...)   Re: Proposed Assembly Line Project

Oh yeah - note the Akermann steering, I was quite happy with that. Can pull a turning circle with a radius (centreline) 12 cm no problem :) -Iain (18 years ago, 5-Feb-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)
