rtl 19 'Sumo on a stick' pictures

(URL) I have an idea... We should do this one again! Looking at the pics has inspired me to make a better 'bot! And this time Steve H can come up and enter whatever he wants as well. One modification to the rules--your 'bot cannot touch the ground (...) (19 years ago, 11-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: rtl 19 Official Score (in which Dave didn't win but still kicked Chris's heinie)

I'm just filling out the album right now but I realized I didn't bother getting a shot of my robot...anyone got one? Calum (19 years ago, 11-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Blurry

(...) You are correct. Nothing is blurry in the picture. At all. I see no blur. I am mistaken. Move along. (19 years ago, 11-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: rtl 19 Official Score (in which Dave didn't win but still kicked Chris's heinie)

(...) So, let me get this straight. Janey beat both Chris and Dave with a robot that didn't even have a motor? And, she finished one point out of second? You guys are slipping... Steve (19 years ago, 11-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: rtl 19 Official Score (in which Dave didn't win but still kicked Chris's heinie)

(...) LOL!!! (Does a little dance!!!!) JLUG bots kick some fine heinie!!! YAY!!!! Actually, beating Chris, 2 out of 3 times (once in pre-game trials), and beating Dave 3 times really made my day! Dave in all honesty your bot amazed me, and Chris, in (...) (19 years ago, 11-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Uh, yeah :) (URL) also sheared a half pin which I used to mount the RCX up there. (...) Dunno, I lost firmware about three times. Two times it reloaded fine, I haven't tried it after the last time I went up against Chris for the hell of it. (...) (19 years ago, 11-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: holding down that 9V switch

(...) Odd isn't it. I had made a scheme that used the cam shaped pieces to operate those buttons, and it is indeed very important to get just the right amount of depression to make the buttons work right. JB (19 years ago, 11-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

rtl 19 Official Score (in which Dave didn't win but still kicked Chris's heinie)

Well, in a surprising upset, a complete newbie to the LEGO robot building and entering in an rtl competition (that I remember--I could be wrong...) Harry A, Rob A>'s son, won the compeitition with his non-motorized tower 'bot. So here's the (...) (19 years ago, 10-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: need an official ruling...

(...) You mean the same block stacking event, over and over? Or totally different events, like Last Bot Standing, Deep Yellow & something with a rather RTL flavor, Pipe Racers... ? (...) I suspect I'm as close as you... :) (...) Good luck, Dave. And (...) (19 years ago, 10-Sep-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
